Yes. But we need to be able to keep him. If a manager isnt getting his players and he sees his team weakening before his eyes by the chairman selling his better players, how long do you think he'll stick around?

It was clearly stated at the start of the window that the only players to be sold would be the ones Poch was happy to let go. Levy won't be selling anyone without Poch's say so.

Yet today we hear that Pochettino only wants players that are prepared to die for the shirt. That's different from what was said earlier...

I've not seen it mentioned in ages, but didn't Poch and Walker have a bit of a miff off at the end of the season? If he's rattled Poch's scrotum then he has to go, and for a substantial fee, so consequently I'm happy with this deal.
Levy will need to take a look at the wage structure soon though, but I do think we'll never match the oil clubs, so you'd have to question how much we do to keep up.

I personally think that, when this TW closes, there will be more positives than negatives in regard to transfers in & out.

Still lots of time for players to move - both ways.

Yankspurs do have a point that selling Walker would weaken us.

I know we look to bring in Pereira with money to spare, but there is no guarantee he will ever succeed in the PL. The rest will go toward Barkley I'm sure, but we should be able to finance that purchase from the sales of Fazio, Bentaleb and Sissoko regardless. Not to mention the crazy TV deals.

Hopefully Levy will try for something special since we look to be very much in the green this window, but if not I'd rather we just kept Walker and bought in Barkley as an upgrade on Sissoko.

new contract obviously means more money, fair play in a way for more money to keep in a respectable line of what players get, i dont mean stupid wages of chinese and the two manc clubs

But if Poch wants rid of Walker keeping him is pointless

We're realistically going to have to give new contracts to all the players that just signed new contracts, if we want to keep them.

It's not different. Walker isn't prepared to die for the shirt, ergo Poch is happy to let him go.

Nothing is guaranteed though. Theres no guarantee that walker doesn't get hit by a bus and become a quadriplegic tomorrow (extreme I know and obviously don't wish that on him before some snowflake thinks I do)
