Here's a novel idea for some of you - why don't you wait untill an official line on the transfer is said and then comment rather than second guessing and basing opinions on relatively little.

Just because a deal hasn't been announced yet doesn't necessarily mean a deal in principle hasn't been struck and for whatever reason the negotiating clubs deem it not fit to announce until a suitable time, we will just have to accept this and be patient.

Even in the worst case scenario of signing no one, we still have a great squad and we can still have a great season and I think people really need to get a grip on the reality of this situation and regardless of how this transfer window pans out, we have alot to look forward to this season.

The whole transfer forum is set up for us to discuss and second guess potential transfers before they actually happen.

If we all waited for official notification from the club before we begin discussing the situation there would be very little point to this forum.

As for your final point, while admirable I don't really agree with it. Yes we have a strong squad one capable of pushing for the top four....it has been obvious that we need to upgrade our strike force since Jan, in fact since we sold Berbatov and Keane, and we have failed to do so even though we have had money and time to.

It can be argued that failing to act in Jan cost us our CL place this year and it is reasonable to assume that at the very least those in charge of our club knew for this window that our strike force was a major weak link in our chain and needed upgrading.

IF we do see another window close without us adding significant quality to our striking options I personally feel we as fans have a right to feel aggrieved (its bad enough we didn't get anything sorted in time for the season to kick off as we all saw how toothless we looked at Old Trafford and I am sure not many fans want to see us struggling to win games with out something more potent in our final third)

I think what he's saying is don't let your life and emotions be run by ITK. A positive bit of ITK doesn't mean we're going to sign everyone and win the league. A negative bit of ITK doesn't mean we're going to sign nobody and get relegated.

I think it was just a general call to apply some common sense!

What's the point having a ITK thread if no one can give his opinion knowing opinion are partially based on emotion ?

How can die hard fan have some common sense when speaking about their beloved club ?

Morning all. Just reiterate Ackie's point and mine from last night

Ade/Lass are both DONE. There is NO issue with wages.

END OFF

Also I was at the gym early this morning with my man, and he's trying to offload some players all over the shop, Bentley is main objective. He's a call with Levy later supposedly and Levy has been in either Spain or Italy. He thinks Spain today and back in UK this evening. and Lass might not be the only RM player were after.

As I said last week, expect DB to be shipped out by the end of the week. I'm off to play golf with a couple of ex England players, umbrella please!

Thanks mate, very reassuring as always. I enjoy your posts. What do you do for a living btw, see what you can get from the ex england players?

Re the Ade ITK - I believe it is done. Think about it from Man City's point of view. Would you sell him to a team you're playing in a few day's time? Abso-fucking-lutely not. You'd wait until after.

I reckon he will be announced anytime from when the deadline of registering a player for the game passes.

so basically you are saying we should not have an ITK forum?

Just a 'deal is on the OS' forum?

There was ITK claiming the Diarra deal could well be off. We are debating that in this thread, the ITK discussion thread.

Perhaps you're on the wrong page? Sounds like what you want to go is head over to www.tottenhamhotspur.com and hit F5 ad infinitum.

I feel you two have missed my point completely - I'm saying we shouldn't have this constant knee-jerk reaction to every single minute bit of detail that crops up here and results in slagging off the club/management/board with the same old diatribe of "dragging our feet" or "being too tight" etc.

I accept to discuss ITK in here - that's what the forum is for, but you will find the same individuals who love nothing more than to have a moan up just because deal's haven't been done yesterday and it's quite frankly very tiring.

It's a loan, so he couldn't play anyway.

The first mention of Adebayor (Colour) by POTL was over 2 months ago, had a wee browse of the log there. The 'Patience is a virtue' x 3 was particularly interesting, considering it was posted at the end of the January window.

My patience is running out.

A loan player cannot play for his parent club. Furthermore, if our offer is a loan and RM come in and say they will take him on a perm, then City would be wise to hold out until the last.

If they are both done then why no annoucement. No offence to your source, but if all is wrapped up there is really no need to hold back the announcement is there?

There are many reasons as to why

How about a 'Statement of Intent'

We've all been looking in the wrong places.

Well I am very confused by this... Are you saying that we are waiting to announce them together to show intent, or that we are holding off because there is something else in the offing?

Sorry, but how is it a statement of intent to withhold bold new signings?

I don't understand your last sentence.
