Weird comment on SSN bout 10 mins ago saying no clubs have met our valuation and that "talks for a new deal are ongoing" WTF? Is there a chance luka could be staying??

Maybe this was exactly why the deal fell through, Levy could have had the deal in place for a couple of weeks and was just waiting for the new managers approval before sealing the deal. AVB could have said he didn't want Sahin and would prefer straight cash to get his own targets in, such as Moutinho.

JJ has said many times he only releases info when he feels the time is right and this time he went out on a limb thinking, like most of us would, that every manager would jump at the chance of signing Sahin.

And way to do fuck all Freund....I can't help buy notice that beside Sahin, we haven't been lined to one fucking German yet. Gah! It would be a first I guess but did you ever consider that perhaps the ITK on this is incorrect? Always baffles me how people will jump all over managers, staff or players based on the vague whispers of ITK and then bitch the minute the player show a lack of loyalty or love for the club.

This post is possibly a new low even for you.

Managers have a vision of how they want their teams to play. They then have a vision of what players they want to put that style of play into effect. This is not like a Pannini sticker album, you don't just collect all the players you like regardless of how whether they might actually fit into the team that you want to create (which, incidentally, seems to be what Chelsea are doing and I'm convinved that Di Matteo doesn't have a clue of what he is trying to build).

To critcise AVB for not wanting a player you happen to rate (if that really is what JJ's post means and not that he doesn't like the deal falling through) without seeing what team he does put together and what players he does sign to implement his ideas, is just crazy.

Fair point. At the time I was very critical of his use of the word 'officially' and if your point is as valid as it seems then this just goes to show my criticism wasn't as 'dumb' as some made out.

Personally I would be considering AVB's judgement as I'm sure the rest of us think that the boy Sahin is world class as JJ put it, but then again if he doesn't think he will fit into his style then we have to trust that. If the Moutinho deal is still on at least we know for sure that he is a player for an AVB system.

This avb system thing is annoying me, we shouldn't be buying players that fit into just one system, the system should change depending on who we play. Sahin would be perfect for us, real shame we aren't interested.
