Loved by United fans I know. Not a shabby finisher and GNeville raves about his off the ball work. Which would be favourable for Poch I imagine.
Doesnt score enough, would not be a first teamer week in week out, we have players who are cdecent but do not score enough , if maybe for 10M maybe but rqther we dont waste more money on him

One would assume (hope) that the last Friday before the window closes will be a busy one, hopefully we will hear some more snippets about defenate movement. Seems like quite a few ITK's have alluded to a roller coaster few days but thus far it's been quit calm. I just wonder if we will get any left field names popping up or if it will be by the numbers, MS and DW in and Holtby, AT and maybe Sandro out. Knowing Spurs there must be a few surprises coming... I just hope they are good ones.

El Shawaary maybe? Haven't been linked, plays on the left and could be had for a special low price? Maybe what Storts was alluding too?
One of those "NO way" deals that could happen like VDV.

It would be a shame that nothing truly groundbreaking seems to be coming up to help us really push on just as our house truly seems to be in order for once.

Say Isco on loan if RM had some belated guilt about pillaging us!

However to be fair Poch's system seems to be all about being better than the sum of it's parts (opposite of AVB) so a couple of very capable team players in Schneiderlin and Welbeck could turn out to be very good business for us.

I'd certainly take that right now, despite wanting a striker in preseason. Ade has shown plenty of promise however and Kane looks an able backup .

I was at a business lunch today and got chatting to one of my colleagues who I have met a few times previously. Despite being a chelsea season ticket holder, he is a decent sort of chap.

Anyway, the guy who has the season ticket next to him is employed by spurs in some capacity. They were speaking at the chelsea v leicester game at weekend and the guy who works for spurs said he had been asked to attend an urgent staff meeting scheduled for today to discuss the future of the club. Apparently it is well known within the club that a sale has been agreed to a new foreign owner following the recent progress with the recent legal stuff for the new stadium.

I will see if i can get anymore when i see my colleague again in the next 3-4 weeks.

Could be bollocks. But i trust my colleague enough to believe him. Something for one of the ITKs to dismiss nonetheless.

This is ITK so take as it one between us as the mods won't verify me anymore or pop me up in the ITK thread. I've heard today through my old Redknapp era ITK that United are all over Verts and we are fighting it. But his head has been turned but they will win and it will go down to the wire where our leader will get maximum price and then slag him off/try to appease us fans on the OS when the announcement is made.
FFS. Always has to happen to us
But hey. COYS

I don't want a sugar daddy nor an Asian gangster(most probably international bookie). I want my Spurs to win in an honourable manner.

Cheers rebrab, did think you would be best placed on this. As you say, interesting the rumours have started again. Primetime to buy us now. The new stadium deal and tv money makes us a very valuable asset that will only appreciate in value over the next 5-10 years.

This. I'm intrigued by this rumor, but very cautiously so. Do not want someone coming in making sweeping changes because they view us as a plaything.

Not knocking you but verts looked more motivated than at anytime last season and looked like he was enjoying his football again, on this basis, and @JJetset and @rebrab confirming a new contract, I just can't see it. I remember you used to post quite a bit of info, why are the mods not backing you anymore?

It wouldn't be the same without a bit of new owners ITK.

Let's not kid ourselves. I'm not saying we should sign Welbeck, but players from the top drawer will cost us somewhere between 120k to 200k a week and want to have other top players as their team-mates and also CL. We are not in that elite group yet and players of Welbeck's quality are about the level we can get.
