I like the idea of Welbeck. It seems like Poch has an ideal group of styles he wants to play - meaning he seems to prefer a number 10 style (Eriksen) a winger style (Lamela) and a wide forward style (Chadli).

I think J-Rod is prob his number 1 target for this role. Does this news mean J-Rod won't happen or that we are after Welbeck on loan, and prepared to wait for J-Rod?

Can't see Utd being interested in a loan unless it's with a view to a permanent...

I'd take DW, a better option than some on the attacking players we have at the moment. Not the most glamorous of players but a good signing IMO.

Quite enjoyed the match tonight. But that said, if we can make some improvements with Morgan S. and another forward then I think it's worth it. Could be the difference.

If only we could attract a really top striker. We won't get as many chances as we did tonight and need a no9 who can convert a higher percentage of chances. But where do you get one? I think the goals of Eriksen, Lamela and Paulinho (if he stays) will be vital

Bony would be my 1st choice, knows where the goal is and offers hold up play.

Benteke would be 2nd choice followed by Welbeck.

Agreed we need a striker.

I think if we get MS, we still need Bony, Depay and Schar.

Then we'll have a top team, well balanced etc.

Then it's a case of offloading players which is always difficult.

Seeing as we've been linked with those 4 players we'll get some renewed ITK soon.

I never understand these.... did he say "We Buy" and if so, why is it in Square brackets ?
Brackets indicates that is nto what he said - but what he meant based on either the question asked, or some earlier reference. So a question might have been - will Spurs buy any players? "Its possible we will, but not too many movements."

But to your question brackets always mean the writer is inserting something that is not verbatim.

Don't listen to the others, they're on a wind up. The brackets means the person speaking cupped their hands round their mouth and whispered it secretly to the interviewer. [You're welcome]

I think Soldado would have scored a hatful tonight. I do like Kane though. It seems a bit obvious, but Harry needs to stop hitting it at the keeper, haha.

Welbeck shares the same problem, but Storts is usually on the money.
