Exactly! What a shame we couldn't shift Hutton, Jenas and crouch for £15m to Villa. Would'a been a great deal for us, getting rid of 3 average players and getting £15m at the same time. :bang: plus also £140k off the wage bill

Knowing Levy though, he always trys to get back what he paid for a player at the bare minimum. So I doubt we would sell Crouch for under £8mill, same with Jenas and Hutton.

I have seen a few people post this about our relationship with Real Madrid, where has this notion of us having a really good relationship with RM come from?

I can confirm that I have been one saying it and i have in on a good authority...You have to trust me. its just a matter of playing our cards right though.

Obviously Levy doesn't like to make big losses on players like Bentley, but the fact is the biggest loss will be made on them if we fail to sell them at all, as they are worthless to our current squad.

Its a balancing act given that one need is clearly dependent on the other all the while we are trying to improve our squad. The problem is we havn't seen much balancing yet - lets hope we get serious very quickly and shift some of these lot...and by that I mean accepting realistic fees for some of these players.

Personally I dont think 15 million would of been too far off for the Crouch, Jenas and Hutton.

With respect to incomings and being ultra realistic here...who would you take between KJH and Gyan?

Neither really. I dont think either of them are consistent enough to be better than what we have all ready. Both would cost £20m approx.

Seriously the best option for a ST who I can think of off the top of my head would be Adebayor on Loan for the season...I dont think we can attract a better striker than what we have already. I think the links to Benzema, Rossi, Higuain, Llorente etc are who we should off gone for last summer, when we had the CL attraction but this debate is for another time and for another thread.

Thinking of our ITK logically. Diarra will only happen if Wilson goes, which with PSG signing Matudi and Sissoko rules them out. I cant see a Prem team paying over £10m for him, at best. Palacios could be here some September. Lass wont be then.

Benzema, Kaka, Higuain are dreams, Rossi & Llorente extremely unlikely, and Adebayor too expensive. I think we are probably talking about the Hernandez, Guerrero, Huntelaar, Gyan types now that Vucinic has gone and Leandro seems January at best.

Mata doesnt want to some, so move onto Affelay or Marin please.

And herein lies the problem if you forget your Summer supply of salt.

You don't know at what stage someone is hearing about a deal; an enquiry made does not mean they're booked in to Holly House to have a medical.

Look at the players mentioned; not at the status of the deal. It will save you all so much heartache. Come on, listen to the Mods, we've been doing this for years!! We are ITK on ITK!!
