Read it again. CL teams in for him and REPORTS they are willing to pay the money.

I don't expect ITK on other teams bids. I know JJ and Trix are good, but...

I read and I don't see REPORTS or 2 or 7. Perhaps I should read the Express.

Trix on COYS (in relation to MS):

Two solid offers from other clubs than ourselves in for him now(both CL). Still really wants to join up with Poch but they have had no contact with us since last weekend. I think Jjetset is bang on as usual. Unless all the planets align and everyone we are happy to move out go, I'd say this one is gone.

This has come from MS side of things.
The CL clubs aren't necessarily 2 PL clubs...

IMO you can only afford to build a team around a player that is highly unlikely to leave, a 1 club player. There aren't many of them, and MS isn't one.

Read his interview after yesterdays match. Doesn't sound like the mercenary you paint him to be.

When you have a plan you have to back it. Pooch has a plan and at the top table you have to pay top dollar. Levy back your man.

I think Arsenal (and Utd EDIT: not in the CL now, my mistake-would still be a perfect signing for them).

Whoever gets him automatically improves their midfield, and both of those midfields with Morgan in starts to look mightily impressive imo.

Really wish we had paid slightly over the odds just this once for a player and gone against our sensible business model that I completely advocate on the whole, he will be integral to whichever midfield he slots in to and if he continues to add a few goals to his game he is a complete midfielder.

Would have loved him in a Spurs shirt and believe people would have advocated paying more for him if he was coming from a 'top' team and not Southampton.

Seems we have missed the boat, a real real shame.

MS is the perfect fit for Poch's system - if he goes elsewhere then I feel he won't be as effective. Of course at Southampton the manager has changed but the team are still playing similar football.

Personally, I think Southampton would look even more pathetic if they had kept Schneiderlin away from us all summer, for him to then sign for someone else. Their fans would go apeshit.

I'm glad some of you aren't in charge of the club accounts. We'd be in administration before Xmas. £27 million for Morgan is ridiculous money.

Why? Other than it being a large amount-what is your reasoning in regards to him as a player, Poch wanting him, the style of football, his potential etc that automatically makes it ridiculous money?

Edit-actually take it to the player thread...

Let's all be honest with ourselves here, we all know where MS is ending up, we all bloody know he'll be unveiled down the road. Not bothered though. Not paying that for him.

Not if someone else offers £10m more than us they won't
