Yes but it wasn't a quick decision because Levy caught Tim doing a line of blow off his desk.

This has been coming for a long time.
I get that but perhaps Pochettino wouldn't discuss his position before the end of the season. I wouldn't be surprised if some movement occurs this week.

Really lads, calm the collective tits. What's the rush? It's not like the players are at the training ground with no manager to tell them what to do for the big important match that doesn't exist. Transfer wise we're not going to a bucket load; the market won't even begin to move until after the World Cup. It's clear what we need anyway. Baldini or whoever will be looking at potential LBs. The only thing the club HAS to do over the next few weeks is try to sure up Hugo and make sure Lamela's injury is being managed.

We've time to pick a manager. People here are talking like we've got a game coming up with no manager to oversee it.

Chill the fuck out.

It will be interesting to see what sort of players Poch would go for.

His 3 signings at Southampton were a mixed bag.

Lovren £8.5m - He's been outstanding and has been linked with a big money move to Liverpool today.

Wanyama £12.5m - Missed a lot of the season injured but he was in excellent form early season and has shown he can handle playing in the Premier League.

Osvaldo £15m - Disaster.

If we do sign Poch, I wouldn't mind him bringing Lovren with him. Keep Verts and Chiriches, and look for 1 more (Garay, Richards (cheap/free), Caulker? not so sure, or a young defender such as Schar or Lascelles).

Long may that continue. A little piece of me would die inside if we hired Mancini. Really dislike him, always have. Don't rate him as a manager either.

What would he bring to the party other than the smoothest hairdo since Daveed? Has he done anything since 'Moon River' and 'The Pink Panther'? I think not.

I would think that many fans share your view, but that doesn't change the fact that Bobbie Manc is a winner. If he came to our club i think we would likely stand a good chance of genuinely challenging for top 4 again, maybe higher. Same as if we got benitez in as manager. Eityher Poch or FDB might well have us challenging soon enough, but if I had to put my money on a coach to get us competing for honours i would go with one who has proven themselves i.e. RM or RB. The others are more of a gamble. I wonder how much Levy feels like gambling right now .

L'Equipe are reporting that Napoli manager Rafa Benitez is set to sign a 4 year contract with Tottenham hotspur, it is believed that Daniel Levy will hand Rafa Benitez a huge war-chest to bring in new players with striker Goran Pandev and attacking midfielder Marek Hamsik both currently at Napoli top of Benitez wish list. The pair would set Tottenham back around £50 million.
