After today's performance where he got that group of players to beat Chelsea so well then you have to say that he must have got through to them at last.

He outwitted mourning today as well tactically.

He's starting to convince me now but I think he needs some more players to buy into his plans because I'm concerned about some of the players getting tired.

The work Poch has put into squad fitness is so evident. Even after a tough Christmas period, our players are sprinting to win every ball and press the whole 90 minutes. This is gonna win us a lot of points late game.

I think it will be very important in cup games as well.
Under Jol we got to the quarter finals of the FA cup and the quarter finals of the Europa cup, I think in that season we ran out of steam and I think fitness came into play in both those games, I don't think it will be a factor should we find ourselves in contention next time around.

I just can't explain it but the team aura that Poch brings is just visible. Or maybe I'm the only one seeing this?

Most people said at the start of the season that they expect 6th, and would happy with that and a cup run. I don't understand why people are suddenly livid that our earlier expectations have come to fruition. Don't get me wrong, we've been absolutely dreadful lately, but I think that's a case of having too many players who know they're going to be replaced / gone in the summer at the club. Forget about the rest of the season and judge Pochettino on next year

Oh for goodness sake, here we go again.

It is plainly obvious that the squad is full of incredibly average players, including a bunch of them with a shocking attitude.

He needs to be judged after he has put together a squad of players he can trust.

Right now, he can obviously only trust 12-14 of them, most of whom are incredibly young and inexperienced which is why they have burnt out and are now playing like shite (see Dier, Mason & Bentaleb).

He's made a few bull headed calls recently but we can all see what happens when he tries someone outside of that group he trusts - see Paulinho's performance last Sunday and the the utter shite Soldado serves up every time he is given a chance.

Let's see where we are at this point next season and at the very least give him a bloody chance to build a team here!

Performances have been dreadful and embarrassing, especially at the business end of the season. Kane and Eriksen bailed him out with late winners when we had a good run of results Dec-Feb but ultimately those wins were accompanied by poor performances. We consistenly see baffling line-ups and even more bizarre substitutions, which seem to be the same almost every game. Either we get a change on the wings Lamela for Chadli, or vice versa as well as Townsend, or we get Soldado on for a winger or CM. No invention with line-ups and substitutions and it's not surprising people are unhappy and don't believe he's the right guy

Would have been happy with 5th/6th if performances showed promise however we've seen two games where we've played very well.

I'm not calling for his head and he needs his own players and time to work with the squad in pre-season but I am massively underwhelmed so far considering the glowing reviews posters were lecturing us on in the summer

It's because we have been poor for most of the season, not just "lately" , squeaking results on a number of times. Couple of excellent games and Harry Kane's emergence yet again are masking mediocrity. Still DL made the bed we need to lay in it for another season. If we get more of the same MP needs to be gone come The summer 2016.

There's far too many melts on here. We're playing cack at the moment, but people fannying about questioning the manager need to realise this:

2015 in the PL:

P13 W7 D2 L4 - WLWWWLDWWLWDL

We've picked up 23 points out of 39 in 2015 and have beaten both Arsenal and Chelsea. That's not bad considering the crap he has to put out on a pitch.

Who would you have given it to?

De Boer was interested and stated he would work with what we had at the time. I think we needed a change of direction, Poch is too similar to AVB, even down to marginalising certain players.

We are also looking at 4 points from the 4 last matches, in a period where we could have been fighting for 4th...

I think you're making excuses for him now.

We have some deadwood in our squad but for fucks sake... Don't act like we have a squad akin to Burnley.

Guarantee most of the premier league managers would get more out of this squad than Poch is at the moment.

The blame has to be laid at both the players and the managers doorstep. However, there's not put our best XI of players can do when they're never picked together.

I think style-wise, De Boer set off alarm bells for me - it struck me that he would have had similar problems to AVB in how he set up.

He wouldn't have been universally popular but my choice would have been Rafa Benitez - premier league experience, used to competing in multiple competitions and winning, pragmatic when he needs to be. Probably would have clashed with Levy though...

That form would have us on 67 points in 38 games, lowest tally since 2011 when Redknapp cocked up the last third of the season.

Not exactly something to shout about
