Put simply, I don’t recognise my club anymore. There is no plan, no vision. The whole manager situation has been handled amateurishly and has been a scatter gun approach. "who is the flavour of the month at the moment? Southampton have done ok for them so lets have their manager".

How you get from a experienced proper football manager like Van Gaal to an apprentice work experience kid with an empty cv with one average season behind him proves there is no thinking behind this appointment.

I am disgusted with this choice of manager. Then there are the players, gone are the players that we all felt a real connection with, in are a bunch of mercenaries with no feeling for us or for the club. There is no connection between team and fans. Until there is this 'experiment' is doomed to fail. We needed a proper manager that could command everybody's respect and bring us all together. Instead we have a kid in his 2nd season and a bunch of players for hire that wont look up to him. I for one will not follow this guy. We WILL finish below the 6th place we achieved this season and he WILL be sacked next summer. I hope his end comes quick so we can get a real manager next year. In the meantime I will not watch spurs this season or follow this slow motion car crash that Levy has put us all in, I will pass my season ticket on to some other poor sod. I know most of you feel the same but will continue to follow them, fair play to you. To those who 'believe' in Pochettino, you couldn’t be more wrong but in time you will see your massive error. Hopefully our next manager will show you exactly why this bloke is so wrong for our club. We deserve so much better than this.

Still feel the same?

You had a mare here son.

It is the quintessential kneejerk post though. Maybe you'll learn some restraint in the future. Probably not...

Levy has fucked up again!!!

Should've got either LVG or FDB proven fucking managers who know what they're doing like Harry.R did.

Instead we go for the flavour of the month cheap option, he has a poor squad to work with but Sherwood was honestly better and i'm not backtracking I've never once said he wasn't. Potch is a one season wonder who stumbled upon a very good Southampton side, I don't really ever see how a manager who can't properly speak English is a good fit for us, the players wont relate to him and nor will the fans. We don't sing his name and if it wasn't for Levy's pride he'd probably be gone at the end of this season.

To be fair we probably should give him time and the players he wants but IMO that will more than likely not work and then we'll have to start again...AGAIN! His time so far really hasn't filled me with much confidence, if we compare us to under Sherwood pretty much the same squad we have gone very backwards in terms of performances and results.

Fuck sake. So unhappy with Spurs right now, the last 2 years or so has really seen the heart and soul ripped out of our club, the only saving grace is that we've not been relegated and that despite winning the FA Cup the gooners still seem to be pissed off.

Yet more goodness from Poch, saying all the right things.

"The players just want to play every game. They feel they are strong and feel they can all play every game and win every game"

The staff and players have turned the mentality round at Spurs, think it's about time the fans did as well.

To dare is to do after all.

Me and many many other Spurs fans.

Still think FDB would be doing a great job as Potch has, LVG perhaps not so much.

No idea why people's posts from over a year ago are being bumped when they were posted in a period when the football was dire.

I was always in the wait and see how he does camp rather than spanking the monkey he's amazing camp when he was appointed.

There's no doubt we have massively progressed under him and the team is much better now but he hasn't achieved anything just yet. Although I do think he should get some kind of trophy for persuading Levy to take such a financial hit on getting rid of adebayor!

I must say I was baffled by his decision to take Son off today- I thought he was our best player by a considerable margin before he was taken off.

Probably being posted as a lesson and an exercise to use just a wee bit of foresight instead of turning the bitch and moan on. No idea how anyone can watch football and the second they aren't instantaneously gratified they bitch and complain. It takes a little time, it always does, this is nothing new.

I for one find it more interesting that people think they somehow aren't to ever be held responsible for words and actions.

The Berahino bandwagon springs to mind. Endless tripe followed up by ...nothing.

It's the most important thing he's done for the club. A lot of the discussion on here lately has been about when certain players should be rested, which competition we should sacrifice, etc. Yet, at the club, it appears that every player wants to start every single game, and every player is confident that we can win every game. It's exactly the way a big club should be, and while I understand the pragmatism and hesitancy of a lot of our fans, we need to adopt the same sort of mentality the players have.

Totally agree. And if some are insisting on speaking so categorically about the future, as if what they believe at the time of writing is more or less a certainty, then they should be reminded of such when appropriate.

Maybe they think they are just shooting the shit in a relaxed forum rather than dreading whatever they are going to post is going to be used against them at some point in time.

Anyway, from watching us last season, I think it was 50 50 as to which way it was going to go this season. There is no way a single poster on here would have thought this campaign would have gone as well as it had with us in touching distance of winning the league. Had Levy not backed the manager and got rid of a lot of players in the summer they might well of still been here and it would have been a different season. Fine lines and all that.

Nope, the post I bumped was from May 27th 2014 which was the day we announced him to be our manager.

No one in their right mind can defend that post.

They should think differently then.

It only takes a few minutes to sit back and take a considered, reasoned outlook on situations rather than just spouting any old knee jerking bollocks that pops in your head.

If people don't like being called out for their idiotic posts then maybe they will think twice about writing such nonsense in the future. As @Sweech quite rightly points out if certain posters learnt about having patience and giving things time then they wouldn't be made to look stupid when their comments were brought up a few months down the line.

I know you love subscribing to this philosophy, but the fact is, every single poster, I bet even you, has said something utterly stupid at some point. There is no SC poster who is objectively entitled to climb on any sort of a high horse. To put it bluntly, anybody who honestly believe they don't have a past post worthy of some ridicule lacks self-insight to a scary degree.

Bearing in mind this need for ridicule, I also question why one doesn't hold the same need to give other poster kudos for when they were right in the past. To this day, I've only seen one poster addressing another poster to say that the person was right. Why this one-sided, negative, perverse pleasure in others failings, I wonder.

No ones being called out for having doubts, people are being called out for talking complete shite...and quite rightly so.
Laughable that people still think they shouldn't be held to account.

The difference is I try to step back and use logic and reason in my posts. The people that have been called out don't seem to understand what logic and reason are.

Besides, if I have said any stupid things in the past I wouldn't cry for being called out. It's par for course. Although, unlike others, I am aware of accountability so do try and engage my brain 99% of the time.

It's nothing to do with being on a high horse, it's a general rule of life - if I chat bollocks to my mates then I expect them to ridicule me for it and I will them. Anyone who doesn't understand this must live quite a sheltered existence.
