“If he explains something to you, OK, you can do it one or two times bad, but if he explains that he expects this from a player, like a midfielder, and you keep on doing it wrong and it’s nothing to do with quality...

And if you don't believe Dembele you could always ask Andros

“He wants you to press and come back, press and come back, and if you are not willing to do it, then you don’t fit into the philosophy. “I have the feeling that anybody can come into the team and anybody can come out almost. “That’s why everybody understands and has a good mentality.

Everybody knows, ‘OK, I can be the best player in the team, but if I don’t work, then it’s not going to be good enough’. I think that’s the difference.”
I wonder what Poch thinks/intends to do with Chadli.

Has been one of the best managers in Europe this year but imo the juries still out lets see if he can replicate his skill consistently and win trophies.

Well - that was sensational tonight.

Best 'team' I've seen for many, many a yearn- maybe ever.

What's the best manager in the world on ? £10m ? We can and should match it if need be !

Sincere apologies if this is widely known and posted elsewhere but I just read this on redcafe:

"Bought a multi-million pound house last week just a couple of minutes from the Spurs training ground.

Might not mean much of course because he can afford it as an investment, but it tends to suggest that his family is settled in the area and he has said how much they love London. One of his sons plays for the Spurs U15 team and his other lad is doing part of his degree in Sports Science at the club.

As and when he goes to Spain it will more likely be to Real than Barca, I live in Spain and he is just about the most talked about manager from outside of Spain in the press here, Marca which is Real's mouthpiece are always doing pieces about him."

Think Pep is on around £11m and LVG and Wenger are at £7/8m, then a list of them on £5/6m

Not what we need. Needs repeating again and again.....We need an experienced coach who has a history of winning trophies. Our current squad is in absolute disarray. Players unhappy, some possibly looking to leave. We need a manager who will have their instant respect the minute they they walk though the door.
The last thing we need is a novice manager taking charge of our squad. We'll be back to square one.
Who do you think the likes of Vertonghen, Lloris, Paulinho, Eriksen etc would want to see as manager?
Benitez/De Boer or Pochetinno?
Would be underwhelmed to say the least if our next manager was Pochetinno...
I love going back over old threads and seeing gems like this :)

Whilst your there have a look to see if you can bump your posts after the CO Cup game against Arsenal, how you said Poch was a disgrace and launched into full meltdown mode, remember that?

Er...not me mate, must be confusing me with someone else. Yesterday was the first time I've been on SC in a couple of years!

I can't say I always was happy with how trigger happy Levy has been, but looking at how the club has progressed since he began, nobody could possibly argue that his long-term plan has been spot-on. For a long time we were seen as a bit of a joke club ("Lads, it's Tottenham" being the most obvious example), and over the past few years that has slowly changed to the point that we can be proud of Tottenham again. So for the past 5 years at least, I've been fully prepared to trust him.

Do'h me up fam

I've not changed my opinion about throwing the League Cup game at home to our biggest rivals at all.

Are you implying that because we're having an amazing season Poch hasn't made one single mistake or misjudgement?

Let's face it, had we reached the LC final and been 4th or so, most of us would have been satisfied. Instead we're SECOND, with a very real (if fairly unlikely) chance of a CHAMPIONSHIP, in less than a month. Even if he did throw it, I find myself OK with that, having never even had the opportunity to dream about of a title, after Christmas, in 30+ years of supporting this club.
