Is it so hard to believe that two men in the same industry - one at the top of the business and the other arguably the best there has been would meet and get some lunch to exchange ideas and thoughts? Pretty straightforward to me. Popular restaurant in full view. Part of Poch's make up is he talks to a lot of others to constantly improve his knowledge - Sean Dyche was talking about this just last week.
Nothing to worry about here - He said he had agreed a new deal with us and I, for one, trust him.

Well, I doubt he leave the season we've got Champions League football and United not.
Conspiracy theory, this is why Lamela said he wanted to be at Spurs for one more year?
Summer 2017 when LVGs contract run out .... *looking for armwaving panic emoticon*

Apart from being a massive twat, I think Lord Ferg is probably a nice guy, particularly now he's retired.

I am sure this is all very innocent and is him just congratulating Poch on a great season and sharing ideas. He has a pretty good record of putting an arm around young managers doesn't he?

Complete overreaction going on in here at the moment. A journalist has seized an opportune moment to create a story that isn't there and you fuckers swallow it whole lol.

If I'm gonna cheat on my wife I won't be fucking my mistress in public in Mayfair. I think it's all harmless but no doubt a tad odd.

Ps I have no wife and any ladies on here I'm young, free and Single.

People may be over reacting. But for fuck sake if you want to have an "innocent" lunch do it AFTER the last game of the season. This doesn't come across well for me. Poor poch decision.

There's nothing in this but it's still like seeing your Mrs photographed being spooned by Brad Pitt working on her back swing.

I would not be surprised if Poch went along looking for some praise and advice, but ended up with an earful of shit from Fergie trying to tempt him to consider United at some point in the future. There's no way he would pass up an opportunity to weasel something like that.

Unprofessional of Pochettino at best. Should've St least waited until after the last game of the season. Unnecessary distraction.

All meltdown shtick aside, I think it's great that Poch took Perez to the lunch to meet with SAF. I think he really looks out for his guys - and that's a good thing. It's why so many are loyal to him

Jesus Christ SC, the article doesn't mention once that the talks could have been about taking over at Utd and you all seem to have missed this paragraph.

"Tottenham sources told SunSport they were aware of the lunch, which had been arranged after Fergie and Pochettino had met at a League Managers' Association get-together."

How is it unprofessional that a manager meets a former manager for lunch? And since when was eating lunch a :unnecessary distraction"?

Picture in every paper. Speculation he's leaving. Players discuss it = distraction
For all you know the players may have already known Poch was meeting Sir Alex? Besides the better we get, the more speculation there will be surrounding our players and manager, so they better get used to ignoring it.

so Poch announces he is to sign a contract extension.

1 week later he meets Alex Ferguson in a famous Mayfair restaurant to discuss secret moves to take the Man U job.

yup.......seems legit
