Lol what a shock no quotes at all in the article, they have no clue what's going on. Just regurgitating the same old stuff that's been around for 2 weeks
It's the Mail, so I understand why people would think they've made stuff up, but I don't understand the obsession with quotes. Wenger or Jardim isn't going to directly say 'we're close to agreeing a £30m deal for Lemar'. There's never really going to be quotes with transfer stories.

With Aubameyang - it was clearly that he wasn't our first choice target at the time, and we were dragging our heels while probably negotiating with someone else. These things happen all the time, and every club has the ones that got away stories.

A group of club reps turned up at the front door of his dads house unannounced and he found it weird and unsettling and that's why he ruled us out

True but then isn't the only real "tip" so far been that silly twonk on twitter, Amy Christophers, the ex glamour model that is claiming Arsenal have won the race for him? I've not seen anything even remotely reputable so far.

She posted that coincidentally not that long after JJ said about it. Similarly when she posted that we'd signed Sessengnon with a loan back soon after it was said on here.

I'm no Sherlock Holmes but I think there may be something fishy going on there :ninja:

Ffs. We can't compete. It doesn't matter we have the best training ground. It doesnt matter we will have the best stadium. It doesnt matter we can offer CL football

What matters is Levy does not want to pay anyone more then 100k a week as we will not pay more then 100k a week to kane and lloris

Having Champions League football used to be a major factor in enticing better quality players to your club. It would appear that CL football is now a far less important factor and the incentive of big salaries has become the key and in most cases the prime reason for choosing a club.

Just when we are cementing ourselves into the holy grail of regular Champions League football, the footballing landscape has now changed to our detriment. The revenue previously generated from CL was substantial and appreciated, but it now falls into insignificance against the SKY / BT money sloshing around that all can enjoy.

Today's footballers appear to have a single minded focus on money at the expense of any other potential attraction, whether this be CL football, location or possible success.

I just think players used CL as an excuse as generally if the team you were joining was in the CL you would assume they have the clout to offer big wages

What is happening now is teams like palace are giving their best players more then our best players and our best players are so much better

That's one of the reasons I'm falling out of love with the beautiful game.
