Lamela has to step up now like we know he can, Eriksen's situation is so unclear im not even sure if he will start vs Villa now, let alone Dele & Son being out

Hopefully Dele’s injury is not a reoccurrence?

He’s struggled with hamstring problems for over a year.

Really underwhelmed with that line up heading into the new season.

I know Son suspended and Eriksen / Toby futures up in the air, but we actually look weaker than last season.

If we can’t beat villa with that team though we don’t deserve to be fighting for the title.

True but it's not a title challenging side regardless of Villa mate. We desperately need some attacking signings next week and really a RB too.

Why no mention of the other injuries? Because they are not in the ICC squad?

It's been a horrendous summer on the transfer front for Tottenham.
Yes, they spent a club-record £63 million on Tanguy Ndombele but, as things stand, he is their only first-team signing, given that Jack Clarke has returned to Leeds on loan this season.
It could yet be a brilliant summer, with deals for Bruno Fernandes and Ryan Sessegnon also in the pipeline, but chairman Daniel Levy is leaving it very late.
If Ndombele is the only senior player that Levy signs, it has to go down as a disastrous window when you consider what could've been. Comments from HTIC I agree awful league winning infrastructure with bottom six ambition. Under Levy we will never achieve anything.

Give it a rest

Please don’t piss on my chips yet, let me have until the first game is over at least! ?

But levy always leaves it late so nothing new there but if no one has come in by Thursday night then yes feel free to complain.

Looks like we're back to the diamond. I was hoping we'd keep the same shape as we did in the first half against Bayern.

I'm hoping they're training, very close to back just not risked, and could potentially be on the bench for Villa.

The wafer thin squad is shining through today! Big few days for us in the transfer market I think!

Only my opinion give me a shout when we win something under Levy’s regime. Top dollar we are paying tickets £65 fucking quid next Sat for Villa at home. Levy and Lewis are fucking raking the cash in off us fans. They are not investing on the pitch we are so weak in depth. They just want us to be good enough for top 4 , so they can rake it in, that’s as far as it goes. Tell me I’m wrong ???

Good luck in thinking we're gonna sign a RB when we have 3 at the club and 3 who can deputise if needs be, same for a backup striker, it won't happen.

Set your expectations mate and you won't be let down ;)

It's obviously only a friendly but still it's the final match for preparation yet I look at City and Liverpool's bench today (final but still a preseason encounter by all accounts) and see much less uncertainty there.

Eriksen (could still go), Nkoudou (wanted him to leave for yonks now), Marsh (not expected to make it), Georgiou (not expected to make it) and Toby (again, question marks). Also question marks over Rose - who starts.

I know the Dele, Davies, Aurier and Foyth injuries make things seem worse but it's a little concerning to see so much still up in the air. You need that stability going in to a season.

Anyway, positive to see Tanganga and Skipp still in the mould.

Am I the only one who worries that playing three non-goal scoring central midfielders in one team will leave us short on goals over the course of a season? If Eriksen goes, I don't think a combination of just two attacking midfielders left in our squad (whoever comes in, if anyone, will take time to settle) will see us score or create enough to really improve on last season.

Happy to see Lamela start, but feel we'd do better to sacrifice one of Winks/Sissoko (Ndombele starts, as he is more creative with his final third passing) for another attacking midfielder.

Toby and CE will start next week... and will start every game if they stay... and so it should be. A contract is a contract and youre contracted for that length and nothing else. Theyre not acting like Pogba lets put it that way

I see your point but as long as they dont kick up a fuss and start downing tools etc then im fine with them playing all season

Exactly. They will until such a moment comes where it’s better for us to be planning for a future without them. That moment, if it comes, won’t until well into next year.

That is why Fernandes and GLC are a must!
