People claim Eriksen and Mason's been crap ... but you can't dominate a team like ManC with 2 crap MF. Spurs have totally dominated the game, could/should have scored 4-5-6 golas....but could easily have let in 3-4 goals as well.

Your post sums up spurs perfectly totally jeykl and hyde always the same.

These twats are annoying me. That was NEVER a penalty. How can they even claim it was? He clearly clipped his own leg! My word
No, there was contact from Fazio that make Aguero trip over himself. It was not intentional but I could see it called as a penalty if the ref saw it.

I'm actually enjoying the game and think overall we're playing well, apart from some sloppy passing. Would like to see Chadli get more involved as he's dissappeared at moments as has Ericksen. What is totally obvious is that Citeh are not the team they once were and with better shooting skills we should win this game

Reminds me of the Arsenal game. We've been the better team, they get one really good chance and take it.

I didn't think it was a penalty, surprised (or not surprised I suppose) by the reaction in the studio.

Interesting game, could easily be 3-3.

Both teams are poor defensively, or is it good attacks?

Rose and Verts very good, Kane and Dier lively.

Eriksen really flattering to deceive for me ATM.

Lamela trying as usual (very trying)

Central midfield ok in flashes but meh in others, Its 1 of those rare times where we don't have a class midfielder in our squad and it needs to be rectified in the summer.

oh how I pine for a Hoddle, Gascoigne or Modders right now (not a Schneiderlin)

Really confused ref Mason. Hearts in the right place and for that alone he gets my support. BUT he is half the player that Holtby is and I cant for the life of me think why Holtby is not in the team and Ryan is not out on a final loan. Holtby worked really weel with through balls to Defoe and I think he would have done the same for Kane.

We are still in it but i dont get the feeling we will score i reckon next goal is the most important right now.

I've said it since he joined the team.

Mason is a great option against the bottom half teams.

But he is an absolute liability against anyone in the top half, especially the top 5 or 6 teams. We only slaughtered Chelsea after he came off.

For Poch not to realize this and continue playing these two is very frustrating. He is either very silly or absolutely stupid, and thus an ostrich. But seriously, I don't know how Dembele/Stambouli don't get a game.

The system is reliant on quick forward passing, and Dembele and Paulinho just simply don't provide that. We just simply dono't have anyone better. Dembele didn't drive the team on in that Chelsea match, in fact he created all of zero chances in a match in which we scored five goals. What he provided was a rock in a match in which Chelsea's attackers became frantic. He was crucial, but not for the sake of midfield influence.

Stambouli should play though. I don't get what's going on with him.

Not sure what the plan is this summer, but IMO central midfield is the biggest headache. Attacking midfield is more urgent but it's abundantly clear what we need there, but at central midfield it's just a mess with our lack of balance, some promising youths pushing through, and some expensive players on the books not getting time.

After watching it a couple of times from different angles, I'm pretty sure we (and Hugo) were lucky there... Clear penalty.

I try not to hate on our players, but Fazio is garbage. He is worse than Dawson.

Just cannot fathom how Poch doesn't think that Yedlin at RB and moving Dier inside is worth trying.
I thought I was going to like him earlier in the season but he just worries me.

I think even Chiriches is a better option and at least he's got a bit of versatility on his side. Only Kaboul is worse out our current crop of CBs.

I think the Mason-Bentaleb partnership has kinda worn off after our league cup final loss... they don't seem to me to be looking for each other that well and often as compared to earlier games when they made me think they are made for each other.. from then, Bentalab has offered some bright sparks, while Mason seemed quite bugged with errors.. fatigue?
