Always, though it was worse last night, usually half the ground leave followed by the other half after the cup's presented, I reckoned on an hour to the station and was pretty much right.
I think we are going to see plenty of people leaving games early next season, I'm thinking of getting a bicycle.
A jet pack may be better

It was all Son's fault.

If he hadn't played so well at the weekend then Poch wouldn't have bottled the correct decision to leave him on the bench for this game.

Poch playing Son,. forced Alli out of his position causing the knock on effect of messing up his, Dier's and Kane's game.

Son's substitution at half time points clearly to this.
I said the same thing tongue in cheek but I think its probably not far from the truth.
Would Son have been in starting 11 for this CL match had he not scored a brace at the weekend?
I seriously doubt it.
And it did throw us out of whack (technical football jargon). Son , Eriksen and Lamela plus Alli doesn't fit.

What are you doing taking 2 twelve year olds out on a school night, knowing that you won't be getting home until the wee hours. That detention is on you...

85,000 Spurs fans packing in Wembley and the boys were desperate to witness this and see their idols. I'm 46 and have been going to the lane since i was 11 (always from outside of London) and have never seen the like before. I know we didn't get the result we all longed for but it was an amazing experience

How expensive was the parking if you don't mind me asking?

not cheap mate  paid £30 for 'event day' parking (normally £1 per hour!!) but i figured i'd have spent that anyway on tube fares and time wasted hanging about or queueing. was quite funny as obviously i hadn't booked before hand and just rocked up at the entrance and the bird there said "it's £30, you ok with that?" with a car up my arse and nowhere clearly to go.

think the conversation just went....
"do i have any choice?"
"no"

:ROFLMAO:

I agree, I hope we have more against Bayer but getting out of the metropolitan line from uxbridge which was half empty and slowly joining a herd of spurs fans before the ticket gates and then seeing wembley is one of the best spurs experiences of my life

Then seeing people run up to wembley park station after the police let people go up was something straight from World War Z

I reckon if we'd taken one of those chances in the 1st 10mins we'd have won last night but goals change games and Monaco were a shadow of the side we played twice last season, pace, power and tricks all over the park!

Actually think they had the 2 best players in the pitch last night
Thought Fabinho and Bernardo Silva were fantastic

Sidibé was good too. Rotten strikers, though.

Totally agree, before they scored we looked like we would steam roller them. I know we shouldn't pick on players but I think a single moment of absolute stupidity by Lamela cost us the game. You then add to this that the left side of our defence was poor and we simply couldn't recover.

One player who played well without getting what he deserved was Son. He kept making runs into space but nobody from the midfield was finding him. Not to suggest he wasn't guilty of some poor finishing but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be able to see his off the ball runs on tv.

The real disappointments again were Kane and Eriksen. I love Poch but I really don't get why he keeps Kane on when bringing on Janssen, Kane just isn't effective as a 10.

Wanna agree with above sentiments - and like most here agree that Pochettino has been one of our best managers in recent memory. Really enjoying this period in our history.

However, I would suggest that whilst his strengths lie in improving players and forming a tight team unit who play really well within his system of fluid interchange and high press. But if anything, his weakness I think lies a little in picking the team. There have been a few times where I'm not sure why he's picked certain players over others - clearly I don't have anywhere near the same insight.

His decision to go with Dele Alli in the middle was weird - I thought he'd tried it, realised it wasn't Alli's forte and moved on. Especially with Wanyama, Dembele and Sissoko available to potentially fill that role.

It's really easy in hindsight - I almost certainly wouldn't have bothered posting this had we won but we looked a different side when he made the half-time change - and respect for doing that.

Great trainer, great coach with a fabulous "philosophy", but sometimes appears to come up short when choosing the XI to play.

Any thoughts?

As I said pre game dembele should have started. Controlling the midfield, and therefore the game, from the start sets the tone. With Alli in there we were never going to do that.

Dier's stuttering start to the season is in a large part due to having the wrong partner, same thing with this game
