I can only recall Ade giving it 100% throughout a run of games for a couple of times in his Spurs career. When he first joined us under Harry, and when Tim recalled him into the team last season. I'm hoping he gets back into that kind of form, because he's boody good when he does, but right now he's well off the mark. Deserves to be dropped and given a cup run until he gets his form back. Only problem is that he doesn't take well to being dropped.

It's hard to judge with him if he is trying because he has that sort of languid demeanour would be interesting to see some miles per game stats on him and comparing it to our other strikers

In the league this season;

Chadli v QPR after 12 minutes
Chadli v Sunderland, 2 minutes
Eriksen v Man City, 15 minutes
Adebayor v Newcastle, 18 minutes

So not like last season where we only scored once in the first 20 minutes or something.

As long as we keep it solid at the back (which we haven't throughout the whole season lol) then we should win because our front 5 will always be a threat.

Defence is a huge concern for me and also how we bring the ball into play from the defence is so slow and predictable.

We need to show much more urgency from the back when we have possession.

I'm not too confident but I do think we can win as long as we show more urgency in certain areas that's needed.

Can't wait for Adebarndoor to be replaced for good. I realise that's a little bit of a stuck record vibe, but other than maybe half a season, he's been mostly dogshit. So therefore he'll start today... FFS.

I sometimes wonder whether it's the view the managers have of the game. Like, their literal seating position that makes it more difficult to see how awful someone is being during a match.

Surely the elevated viewpoint allows a better view of runs, diagonals, slide rules etc etc...

Oh well. A win with some glimpses of a performance would be great today.

Maybe Adebayor, who I have never rated even at Arsenal and City, will be a little more up for this game. Maybe that's hoping a little..

For today though, I think the points are more important than the performance.
As I mentioned before, the three points will be worth much more than just the three points IMO. I can only see the team really improving after wins. A string of losses just means no confidence, bad vibes, general downbeat attitude.
If we can win ugly for the time being, the raising points tally should inspire a little more fight and desire to keep winning, which should result in improved performance levels. They say it's a habit don't they?

Is ade not giving 100% though? He looks to me like he is trying but looks so slow and lacking confidence.
I know he's only 30 but to me it looks like his legs have gone, like the brain is trying to do things the body can't.
I agree he must be dropped , though I doubt he will be this weekend

Probably that's what it is but if so, it would make it a drastic and sudden change within a couple of months as oppose to a gradual change
