That was a hard fought win. We need that creative player, 2 league games no goals from open play. Having said that we have the makings of a tremendous side. It will gel, from an ugly chick to a wonderful cockerel.
Thought we were brilliant today, just that shaky spell between Moussa going of and Sandro coming on.
Our 3 in midfield were bossing the game didn't see the need to change it, especially when you knew Swansea would have a go.
Soldado = Ruthless
First half was great!
Second half good performance but seems we lost the midfield grip! after the goal, we seem to take feet off!
Two games...2 penalties...6 points
Would love to see us score in open play, corners, free kicks...
MOM: Townsend
Paulinho, Verts, Capoue (specially first half) : fantastic
Most underrated Spurs player : DEMBELE
Really good win. Thank fuck for the penalty, but saying that, if we continue to play like that and continue to gel as team, I really think we will start destroying teams as we could have easily scored 3 today.
Good to very good first half, but then faded quite noticeably in the second (for me) which may have been the effects of the Europa game in midweek.
Two games, two wins and two clean sheets though which is all that matters at this point. Pick up the early points and get some momentum. Two or three additions and we look in good shape.
Just kidding . Think Verts gets it, just for his composure at the end. Closely followed by Paulinho and then Capoue.
Bit disappointed how we ceded the initiative after we scored and Swansea made a change. From that point we were happy to sit back and absorb, and try to counter, but Swansea controlled the game and we were afforded few opportunities.
Power wise we look top class, but still lacking in the guile stakes as we all know. Will be an interesting week.
