How the fuck can you go from beating dortmund 3-1 to drawing 0-0 against swansea? Honestly. It's obvious where our deficiencies are yet we failed to do anything about it. Holy shit

Because Poch took a few out, threw a few back in, shook the bag, closed his eyes and put them all in random positions.

Poch has no one to blame but himself! Shocking team selection first half! Pathetic turgid performance! ..... but how pathetic from Swansea! Very rarely out of their half! No place on the prem for teams like that! Bet Huddersfield would have at least had a go!

Credit to Swansea. They know if they try to play an open game they would very likely lose heavily. They had a tactical plan which they worked on all week and they got their reward.

Why put Llorente on and totally ignore him until the last few minutes where he won headers and created chances?

Mike Dean you are a Scouse ****

Awful result and awful performance.

I don't understand why you put the best crosser of the ball out of position.....

All on Poch this one, very negative line up
If you mean Trips then absolutely. His position should have been on the bench with Aurier and KWP starting.

Should have played Dembele. He is very good at dribbling and taking on a man when we are struggling. We just couldn't play through the middle today. Swansea were very professional and disciplined but we should have had two penalties

Why did Davies not come on and move Trippier back to right back? I can't understand how Poch went the hole 90 mins with a combination of Son and Trippier at left wing back.

Also Winks or Dembele should have been brought on for Dier for the last 15-20 mins at least. And i'll say it again, would it have hurt to have Edwards on the bench for the last 10 mins of that game. I'm not saying he's the saviour but he can at least dribble with the ball and take on his man. None of the players are comfortable doing that.

Embarrassing- every team now knows how to stop us winning at Wembley. What the fuck was Trippier doing playing LW when he had to keep cutting inside and making the angles easier for the Swansea defence? Alli was dreadful- if Poch doesn't sub him when he's shit, he's never going to learn beyond what he already knows.
Don't get playing Sissoko in home games; it's like having a kick about with a mate who's shit at football but you have to involve him because he's there and you don't want to piss him off: except they're professionals and not mates, which pisses me off even more

Sissoko did bail Sanchez out in the first half and he put one on a plate for Kane. He did better than some of ours.

That was horseshit from before kick off til the end. Poch trying to be too clever by half in dropping Davies and trying to fit too many square pegs in round holes. One paced, standing still, AVB footy for 95 mins. Swansea never really had to do anything other than stay disciplined. Really turgid stuff.

The evidence is mounting that we won't be competitive at the very top end at Wembley.
We beat Dortmund 3.1

Agree with you about square pegs in round holes. Never works. Worst example I've ever seen was the ludicrous England side/formation hodgson put out against Iceland in the euros.

Honest question, do we think Alli is as good as the media make out? I've watched the guy week in week out for 3 years and I'm certainly not convinced he's who England should be building the team around. Far too casual, his application has most definitely wavered and the guy misses a sitter every time he plays.

6 points dropped at home already

No chance we'll challenge this year, fair enough, but that was really weak. No one actually threatened in the final third.

One of the most disappointing home performances I've seen in a while

7 dropped, not 6

Son didn't play LWB... Vertonghen played LB in a back four in the first half and then shifted Trippier to LWB and Vertonghen to a LCB when we played a back three in the second half.
Son was defo lwb first half mate. He was deeper than alli until.he started roaming forward. 2nd half it switched up but that wasn't my question

Good job Poch *sarcsasm*. When we have problems at Wembley, you don't start to experiment like a fool. Son as wing back from the start. In the second half, Trippier as left wing back and Sissoko as right wing back. He takes off Son instead of a central defender. Son tried and had energy. We clearly didn't need three central defenders, Swansea was not interested in attacking. Dreadful coaching. The formation and match coaching was a mess.
