Just watched the match. As soon as Kane hit the bar it was clear we were fucked. Too many players played badly today. Kane looked up for it but we struggled to get him the ball.

Trippier was awful on both sides. Know for his crossing yet he barely crossed it all match.

Why was KWP deemed good enough against Everton but not good enough against Swansea?

Loads of issues today but ultimately if Eriksen and Alli play badly we seem to be fucked.

We drew a game around this time last year, one of the experts on here actually started a thread floating the very idea, it was a belter.

I've seen poch out on twitter so I'm going to wait until motd

I admire everyone's studied analysis of our formation today because to my untrained eye it looked like this for 95% of the match:

Hugo

Sanchez

Everyone else

It's the experts mate, they fucking crack me right up!
It's a fan forum, not an Oxbridge debating society. Three crap home performances in the league entitles people to debate, speculate and even be critical. No one is advocating that Poch is crap but to ridicule people's frustrations and anxieties is a bit limiting really

Trouble is that Siggy was going to cost a fortune: even more so if we had ended up in a bidding war with Everton. There is clearly a limiter budget so it's a question of who we shouldn't have signed in order for the money to be freed up for Siggy.
I think we made a profit this past year- there was money.

Now you know that is a fool's errand. There is no line-up that would guarantee a win but there were possibilities that would actually made us more dangerous to a parked bus like Aurier instead of Trips because he can get to the line as well as play a little more intricately. He was more dangerous in the 20 minutes he played than Trips was all game.

4141 is not a formation that suits us because we do not have a pivot that can distribute the ball. Dier was cumbersome there today but it was to be expected. He was as good as anyone else we could there so that is why we should not play a formation dependent on that type of player. we could have moved to 4231 which would have allowed us to keep them pinned while accommodating Dele and Son.

They were not interested in attacking so you cannot say that KWP would be a risk on the left which would have given us more balance and place everyone else in familiar positions. Need I go on? No, none of this would have guaranteed a win but I am fairly certain we would have played better.

Fair enough, and they may have made the difference who knows, I don't personally believe those changes would have made a big enough difference to justify the abuse poch is getting tonight but each to their own

It would've only taken a few tiny variables, not dependent on poch, to tip our way over Swanseas for us to be sitting here celebrating another 3-0 walkover

Jesus Gabriel you would swear from some of the comments in here we are facing relegation this season. :ROFLMAO:

On a serious note, Aurier was so lively when he came on you would wonder why he didn't start the game. Even if he was tired from mid-week he could've been subbed at half-time.

However the blame can't be put solely on Poch, there were poor performances around the pitch today and unfortunately even the best of the best have those days.

For me it's on to the next game and hopefully an improved performance all round. We are allowed to have a day off as a team and I don't think this result is detrimental to our top 4 aspirations this season. It's really clear that so far the front runners are Utd and City, so aiming for CL qualification should be our most reasonable expectations especially in a new stadium for our home games.

Can't fault Swansea really. They had a game plan and stuck to it almost faultlessly. I say almost as they gave away at least one clear penalty when we were bombarding them.

Whatever Pochettino's game plan was it clearly didn't work. I think the CL game left a lot of our player drained, which might explain the slow approach in the first half.

It's an annoying result for many reasons, and we need to learn quickly as Swansea just provided a blueprint for negative relegation-dodgers to use against us. However, I'm still feeling positive about this season.

So maybe not all areas were addressed during the recent window then seeing as eriksen is our sole provider.
We just played everything in front of them which is easy to defend against, then we resorted to playing balls over the top which again didn't work with our shooting tonight simply turd.
Fuck knows how many city would have put past this lot tonight as they currently look different class already.

And yet you have nothing to add to any discussion on here other than funny ratings on everyone's posts.

Just shows me that you lack the ability to argue their points so you take the easy route out and just troll with funny ratings and make posts like the one above.

I suppose on an intellectual level that is much easier than trying to actually engage in discussion with someone for you though.

Just got back from the match and I can conclude that the team's performance and my journey along the North circular were both bloody

nope....what's shockingly bad but predictable is the howls of outrage and simplistic tripe on a match day thread where we don't win 5-0 or more

You cannot be serious? Where am I demanding we win 5-0? What I am questioning is the weird changes and tactics and the real lack of urgency of our players. How on earth can you disagree with it after what we saw today?

I don't think we're title contenders this year, essentially playing 38 games away from home. If we make top 4 it'll be a triumph, then we'll be playing at the best home ground in the league next season. Never mind city.
