So poch needs to take a long hard at himself because he didn't put an untested 18 year old and a player who's been out for 13 months and played 60 mins of semi professional on the bench?
Over a tested player like Sissoko who's proven to be pretty much useless with no space to run into? Or a player like Dembele that slows down the tempo? Or Llorente who has shown nothing to prove he is good enough so far?

What is the worst that could happen?

I am the only one that notices that Eriksen never passes out to Trippier evenwhenhes in acres of space. Never even looks to his right. Not the first game I’ve noticed this.

A shit result.
An uninspiring performance.
Another harsh reality check against that "type" of team.

Truths?
- Wembley will hurt us in the league this season and we're not going to hit the heights of the last two seasons because of it.
- We don't have a plan B against these types of teams and MoPo needs to find one and buy one or two better options for the bench and for back ups to very tired players. (Eriksen looks spent - needs a break).
- We're still a work in progress.

Aims this season?
- A top 4 spot - we're not and were never going to win it this season - but we MUST get more CLge football next season for the New Lane.
- Some silverware - FA Cup would do, though I do have money on us winning the CLge - we just could you know!

It's frustrating, disappointing, annoying and a little repetitive at the moment - but it is what it is, fair play West Brom - came to do a job and put every ounce of effort into doing it. Rondon gave Sanchez & Dier a few lessons today.

We need to regroup and MoPo needs to rethink and have a very good look at the transfer market in January. In My Opinion - it's obvious what this team lacks and it was perfectly communicated in yesterday's article "Zaha could be the final piece in Pochettino's jigsaw" by the Telegraph.

God - that's two weekends in a row completely ruined - it god damn kills me and my mood.

When players like Eriksen and Dele have literally no competition for their places, they have very little care in the world about having a poor game because they know they won't get dropped.

Look at how competition has improved our fullbacks. It's no coincidence.

regardless how west brom played. We drops points again against a team in a low position, and that’s all that matters. Let’s face top 4 is the aim in the league this season and it will be very hard.

What happened to us flying out of the gates in these games?

Now the first whistle goes and everyone just stands there looking at each other saying "fancy a jog?"

These low energy starts are killing us.

In terms of our attacking options from midfield, Dembele is permacrooked, Lamela is AWOL, Dele is out of form, Son has always been erratic and N'Koudou is useless. In terms of our attacking options from the wide positions, Davies and Trippier are as competent but limited as ever, Aurier can't beat his man, Rose is just coming back to fitness and has a suspect attitude, and Walker has gone off to earn megabucks. We still have Eriksen, but in games like this we really need someone to run at defences and cause panic. It's hardly surprising that we'll struggle to break down teams like this, especially at home. We urgently need Rose back to fitness, Aurier to develop a bit, and either Lamela to come back or Dele to find form - or else additions to the squad. Right now we're at a similar level to Arsenal and Liverpool (still fairly impressive given our resources) and will be competing with them for a top four place, plus possible Chelsea or United if either of them have a poor spell.

It was not a poor performance. We were the only team trying to play football. We deserved to win this. It wasn’t our best performance, but we were by no means poor.

5 shots on target v a team not won in 4 and lost 4-0 at home to a top 4 rival last year.... yeah I would say we were poor

In fairness we suffered from this last season.
No we didn't. We only dropped home points twice and one of those was against Liverpool. The difference was being at the Lane, having Dembele more often, consistently having a wide threat from Rose and Walker, and Dele being in form.

To sum up, we need Lamela back firstly. The likes of Edwards and TOB need to be given opportunities or Pochettino needs to bring in one or two players in midfield and attack.

Top three wil be Man City, Man U and Chelsea, in that order. When we play our best, we are better than both Man U and Chelsea, but they are more solid than us (this season). You can't drop points home against teams like Swansea, Burnley and WBA and expect glory. Sadly, I think we wont be playing in the CL next season.
