As a long time follower of Spanish football i feel sorry for Valencia. The one club who have threatened Barca and Real's dominance over the past decade or so now look doomed. Under Cuper and Benitez they had a great workman like side which got to CL finals and clinched La Liga. Now even though they still have top players the way the club has been run will see them lose all them and they will suffer badly next season. Villa, Silva, Albiol, Marchena and Joaquin will all be players they lose in the summer.

I hope Villa goes to Madrid, hes a top top player who would do well in England. Be a nightmare if Liverpool or Arsenal bought him.

I don't follow Spanish football that closely, but going by the Guardian's article, the problem seems to be in really poor ownership. What with the mess up regarding the stadium and all, makes us appreciate Levy all the more. Our players might not perform on the pitch but Levy does.

There's still hope

Financially they're no worse off than chelsea were, don't forget chelsea had started selling their players to try and meet their debts, they were basically ruined, finished, fucked and close to dead and buried until the rich russian turned up.
I know the chelsea fans choose to forget that, those that go back as far as 2002 anyway, but that's the truth so maybe there is a glimmer of hope for Valencia after all they are a bigger club than chelsea ever were.

what an awfully written article! not only does this bloke think hes funny when hes not, hes basically getting his kicks writing 'comically' about a huge team in danger. Im sure he couldve been a bit more pragmatic, a little bit more 'kind' maybe?

But to be fair i guess, if it was arsenal i wouldnt care how it was written...although taking the article, placing it on the emirates centre spot and taking a dump on it to prove a point would be awesome
