Batshuayi has been a target of Spurs for years...seems like Poch & Mitchell really like him but it'd be mad not to pursue Janssen at that price. Question is, how much money does the team have to spend on players & would Bats & Janssen be willing to come in knowing there would be a fight for every minute of playing time? Would you happen to have watched much of the Dembele lad at Fulham? I know this isn't his thread, but is he another number 9, or is he a bit more versatile?

Agreed...not sure if Batshuayi can play out wide. Origi has been for Belgium and they have a similar makeup so its a possibility?

If we want him, we better make our move now. There's no way Koeman won't go for him, as Everton are in desperate need of a striker.

With Embolo off to Leipzig apparently, we got to hope that the Batshuayi deal can be completed. The worst case scenario is that we spend all our time on Batshuayi but can't agree a fee, while all alternatives go elsewhere.

Alfred Finnbogason, Bas Dost, Luuk De Jong, Aron Johansson - the list of 20-goal scorers in the Eredivisie goes on and on. A lot of them have failed because of their lack of pace, strength, footballing ability outside of finishing, etc.

I honestly haven't seen Janssen play, and his youtube reel looks like a quality finisher but not all that polished of an actual player. We could use a poacher, but if Kane isn't playing I really think a change of pace player would benefit us more. I'm wary of this transfer even for the cheap price.
