So many Man.U fans salty and bitter as fuck love to see it. "He won't do well for you, I didn't want him at Man.U anyway etc etc" haha yea right!

From ArsenalMania:

Conte hedging his bets with that 18 month + 1 contract.

Get the feeling he's probably wanting to keep busy and keep his profile up until a big job comes around.

Proper bent Levy over on those negotiations I bet ?

I once watched my brother listen intently to a West Ham fan giving it large about the Spurs then politely asked "why do you care so much about Spurs? We really don't give a fuck about you". His jaw dropped and didn't seem to know what to say after that and walked off. I honestly think it hadn't occurred to him that it's all one way.
I remember having a similar conversation which ended by me saying I saw them as rivals the same as we see Crystal Palace, QPR and Watford as rivals, not at all.

He'd been talking to me for ages about our rivalry and he was surprised that I don't care about them.

Had to go to the West Ham game earlier as a mate got some corporate lounge tickets from his work (1st world problems I know) and I was on the train back with a load of pissed up Arsenal, Liverpool and West Ham fans. It was a bit edgy, until they all started saying how much they hate Spurs at which point they all unified in their collective hatred towards us singing together how much they hate Tottenham. At that point a few undercover Chelsea and Utd fans keeping quiet on the train piped up and joined in. That is real power right there my friends

You're absolutely right. They're all jealous. When a team without any significant success is that despised, but still have such vociferous fans, that's special. We're special. They know if we ever got it together we'd rule for a long time.

THey actually think they've arrived, West Ham. Their squad is shit, about as useful as a bunch of cock flavoured lollipops

What is it about Tottenham that the other London clubs despise exactly? Is it that we think we are bigger than we are? Which with the lack of silverware perhaps has some merit, but still doesn't seem to explain the hatred.

For context I am Australian, so don't understand fully the cultural narrative.

It’s 3 clubs.

Arsenal - moved into our area in the early 20th century from South London then in a very dodgy corrupt way kicked us down a division with a few brown envelopes paid out even though they came 5th in the second division. Started very early and clubs next to each other always hate one another.

West Ham - their real rivals Millwall are never in the Prem so we are like a surrogate for them.

Chelsea - Was driven mainly by anti-semitism originally, as we are the ‘’yids’’. Chelsea are historically Britain’s most racist team.

don’t really have rivalry with any other London teams.

Were in-between all of them in league position for a prolonged period of time so there's a rivalry as the results go either way

Is that really fair? What about Millwall?
