Some Tottenham fans were writing us off before one game

Well yeah, we’re Tottenham Hostspur. Not only can you write us off for the league this season you might as well do it for every season for as long as you’re alive.

RE Son, fans normally react to over adulation of certain players so they go OTT and react completely the other way to counter it.

For example look at the reaction of Messi leaving Barca, people were so desperate to paint him as the villain in that situation because of the kind of press he gets.

Moura is so quick over five yards
I've always been impressed when I see him play. He's like a box to box, winger, attacking midfield, press and 2nd ball machine at times.

Murder on Zidane’s floor is a cracking username.

I found it difficult enjoying Man City lose with it being Spurs.

Yes they have the best stadium I'm the country despite Old Trafford being bigger.
I was actually happy for Nuno as on paper with the Kane situation and the Grealish circus riding into town he was on a hiding to nothing. A poor start and fans on his back

Found it difficult enjoying City lose as it was against us. Said as if City's their rivals in the race to win the title :ROFLMAO:

"Cracking goal from that dirty b*stard Son"

I get rivalry and all that, but no need for this. Son is one of the nicest guys in football. How can anyone call him that?
well, he did break that everton player's leg in 25 places.

what u get for messing with one of the baddies from ''the raid''

No better place on the site right now to see what our last opponents fans are saying than the Kane thread in the TF where one sole, impassioned City fan is trying to defend his club.

Spurs' new shirt looks like it was picked up from George At Asda...... £3 each white T shirt....
They also print the place they got the player from on the back - "Skipp"

City all over Sp*rs. Only a matter of time before City score.

Cracking goal from that dirty b*stard Son

To be fair Tottenham playing decent against an incredibly lacklustre and dare I say it arrogant looking Man City.
Strolling around the pitch as if they think it's only a matter of time before they score.
These lazy fuc*ers would never get in a David Moyes side

I think spurs are the better team and look more dangerous in front of goal man city look poor

This Spurs team looking worryingly good. Well drilled like they were under Jose but with more bite on the counter.
Man City, ha! As others have said that £100m looks like it would be better spent on someone to spearhead the attack. Lots of ball, but no killer instinct.

I guess this means Spurs are winning the league again... Sigh

Shame spurs won but they did deserve it. Wish city would play like that against us.

Certainly is an impressive stadium Spurs have got.
Got to say though...spurs definitely wanted that more. On balance of play, they deserved it. Tanganga completely stifled Sterling, and I thought both Skipp and Moura were excellent.
Grealish... can't stand him.

Spurs fans celebrating as if they've won a cup or something
Son still on the pitch 7 minutes after the games has finished.
Very odd behaviour

Think it’s more about supporters being back in the stadium. Spurs winning against the champions without Harry Kane is a contender for most annoying result of the season already, but I don’t blame them for hanging around after 18 months playing in front of no-one.
On a separate note, reffing - and dare I say it, VAR - noticeably good this opening weekend.

The owning a stadium envy was strong !

Son isn't dirty but he has been petulant. The sending offs against Chelsea and Bournemouth were very toddler-y. Even the Everton tackle, a harsh and correctly downgraded red, was not a great tackle and was made in frustration.

Wouldn't surprise me if he learnt it from his dad, and said "When I was 8, my father would make me practice tackling. If I won the ball from him, he'd chase me down and try and snap my ankles. Good times"

(anyone who's seen Sonsational might get the reference)

I've just been in there and can't reply but someone tell me how @SecretLemonadeDrinker hasn't been called out for believing in and repeating the hilarious Modric "tear in his eye" story

I merely relayed the story. I have no idea whether or not there is any truth in it - and, frankly, I don't care. It wasn't the point. The point was that if Kane is made to stay but the fans get on his back or continue to abuse his family, it will only have a detrimental effect on our season.

But not a discussion for this thread anyway.
