Tottenham dull as dishwater, one goal from open play, a penalty that was a dive and an accidental freekick. I do not envy their fans watching that this season.

Blue Moon:

Spurs are getting outplayed in so many matches , I am amazed how have they manage to get 6 points. I am sure Spurs are enjoying their pyrrhic victory in Kane but they are in a world of pain as the season progresses

This isn't football, dreadful game.

Kane happy or not, I think he again will deliver close to 25 goals and looking at their first 11 they seem to have a much more settled first 11 than Arteta who I dint think has an idea of what his best 11. hard to imagine Arsenal getting points off of the top4 clubs, but Spurs if they sit back and get a bit of luck on counters they can frustrate stronger teams big question for Nuno is the games where they are expected to dominate and so called "easy 3 points" can he deliver enough of those...

So glad we didn't get the cheat Kane.

Dele Alli regressed so much, kind of like Ross Barkley.

Should have gone for Son, would be better suited to Pep’s style.

No to Son, good player but the most overrated one I've known for a long time.

What is it with teams not taking their chances v Spur. We should have been 2 up before they score, Wolves battered them and somehow lost 1 nil and now today

Spurs top with three 1-0 wins? The new Arsenal.

Spurs to win every game this season. No point for the rest of us. Pack it up boys.

spurs are somehow top of the league despite playing like relegation contenders

I’m enjoying the bitterness of the Man City fans. Can’t wait for Guardiola to leave them though and them go back to the irrelevance they’ve been for 90% of their history.

That’s not happening unfortunately mate, they were winning titles with Mancini and that Chilean bloke who looked terminally ill.

Yeah, Pep isn’t the difference at City. Neil Warnock could win the league with the amount of financial doping at play there.

Did I miss something? What chances didn't Watford take today?

TBF whilst Lloris wasn't tested too much, Dier and Sanchez both made goal saving blocks - Dier in the first half with his head and Sanchez in the second with his thigh basically on the goal line.

You might have, he fell in the area. I thought dive right away ahead of penalty. He might have just fallen.
Do mean the incident in the first couple of minutes after their GK passed it straight to Bergwijn?

I was behind that goal and just looked like he got the ball stuck under his feet as the CB came across.

I think that's one. The live TV angle we were watching from behind and you couldn't see the ball clearly until it was slowed

lol the arrogance of new money city fans. Their small little club won the lottery.

Also are seating restrictions still in place in Manchester? I though that had all finished?

Well we sold Walker to City so the statement is not true anyway.

Saying people of one faith won't do business with a different faith and they don't get along is a pretty sweeping statement.

It might not be anti-semitic but it's pretty ignorant.
Agreed. But ignorant isn't as emotive as anti-semitic.

My point was only that we should be careful throwing those terms around.

But in this case they were heavily implying that Levy wouldn't do business with Arabs due to being Jewish.

People should also be more careful with their words. If they're going to say ignorant shit then they should expect to receive some shit.

It's accusing Levy of being racist...based purely on the fact that he's Jewish.

It's a pretty clear case of antisemitism. And I'm not someone that automatically assumes accusations of antisemitism or anything else are fair.
I just dont see how it is at all. If a person on here said that aurier may not have passed the ball to kane because he wasn't French, would that be anti-french?

It was speculation. Ignorant, misinformed etc etc, but it was speculation. He didn't even comment on whether he thought it was a good or bad thing.

I'm sure that there are black people that don't like doing business with white people, Jews who don't like doing business with Arabs and vice versa. If you were to witness such and then told somebody about it, are you being anti-semitic/racist? Or if a friend told you that he/she had witnessed it and you mentioned it on a forum, would that be anti-semitic/racist?

As I said previously, I am by no means trying to justify or in anyway diminish the hateful prejudice that exists in the world, I'm simply saying that a) this isn't it and b) we need to be more careful when throwing such emotive terms around.

I'm of mixed heritage, as are my children obviously, and we have similar debates all the time. Can white people say the "N" word? Is it just as harmful to black people when black people use it? Is it ok in humour etc etc These are all valid debates. But what we very often seem to have is a situation where for example if you disagree with something that the Israeli government does, you are anti-semitic. Or on the other side, when stormzy set up a scholarship to support black students at university he was called anti-white. When neither is necessarily the case and when you make sweeping statements like that you can inadvertently group people together who may not have any shared ideologies at all.

If it's blatant (and personally I think this one was actually pretty obvious) then sure, but otherwise I'd rather live in a world where people were given the benefit of the doubt.

I fully agree that people who go round deliberately saying offensive things should expect blowback, but I don't think a world where everybody has to constantly monitor everything single they say for fear that somebody, somewhere might be offended by is a road to a happy and healthy society. As with most things in life, it's all about finding a balance.
