Probably not the thread for it but I generally agree. The reason I don't like social media like Twitter is that there's lots of interpreting statements but then whoever made the statement doesn't back it up.If it's blatant (and personally I think this one was actually pretty obvious) then sure, but otherwise I'd rather live in a world where people were given the benefit of the doubt.
I fully agree that people who go round deliberately saying offensive things should expect blowback, but I don't think a world where everybody has to constantly monitor everything single they say for fear that somebody, somewhere might be offended by is a road to a happy and healthy society. As with most things in life, it's all about finding a balance.
On here I can have a conversation with someone and after a few posts can usually get what they mean if an original post was interpreted negatively.
In this case a poster on a different site made out our chairman wouldn't deal with another chairman because the other chairman is an Arab.
So it's clear this is a very ignorant comment as we have dealt with this chairman previously.
It also comes across as by far the most likely reason why the poster thinks our chairman wouldn't deal with an Arab due to his being Jewish. We don't know for sure, but I can't think of any other reason why someone would think our chairman wouldn't deal with an Arab.
