He hasn't even played that badly today. Been alright and is carrying an injury. But Messi plays OK and then scores a good goal and then is classified as being amazing and having played amazingly.
And there you go Ronaldo just proved a fantastic cross. But will still be criticized.

Belgium has won their first two games. They have elite talent and are going to be incredibly difficult to break down defensively. They are a far more talented team than Ghana or this completely depleted Portgual squad.
No one ever looks good against Russia, as Capello sets them up to be ultra defensive. Belgium showed in both of their matches when they want to turn up the pressure, they are fantastic. In the knockout stages, they'll be pushing the pace heavily and would comfortably beat whoever comes out of this group with the exception of the Germans.

USA's GD is +1
Portugal's is -4
That mean's if the USA lose by 2 goals to Germany then their goal difference becomes -1 so Portugal will then have to beat Ghana by 3 goals.
This is ignoring the possibility of a Ghana draw but a Ghana win could cause the US problems so Klinsmann still has a 90% chance I would say providing they don't get completely hammered by Germany.
