Come on Messi....shut those doubters up in the final.
Don't mention the war.
They're there man.
Now I get why they didn't want Cillesen in goal for penalties in the last game.
Which one? We've played 'em all!
They shouldn't be.
Also why did you rate my post doh earlier, I was obviously joking...
You just know krul's thinking he'd have saved two of them....and he probably would have.
But if LVG tried the same trick again he'd have totally undermined his first choice keeper...
Have to say I'm kind of glad, there's something eminently dislikeable about this Dutch team. Also didn't want the British press to be given the chance to go any further ott with the Van Gaal narrative.
Well done Argentina, now please stuff the Germans
Good tournament for Holland, they've had better individuals in the past and not done this well.
Should be a good final but Messi needs to turn up if arg want to win. I forgot he was on the pitch most of the time.
Maybe bring RVP off was a bad idea... Cillesen juz didn't look confident. he came close twice... but he should atleast have saved one.
Whatever happens, he's led a fairly mediocre Argentina to the World Cup final on Brazilian soil. That's a great achievement in itself, and I'm glad that he gets to play on the biggest stage in football.
Just hope he can lead them one step further.
If Messi doesn't turn up on Sunday Germany will hammer Argentina.
This is what its all about for me. He has the chance to cement his greatness now.
That was a goalless 360 minutes from the Dutch, following on from the pure fluke of the Mexico win. Pretty underwhelming considering their attacking talent.
I think he'll go into full messi mode. Had a stinker tonight tbf. He's gotta pick his moments to take on 5 players, made a lot of wrong decisions tonight, let the occasion get to him, needs to work on his head and make sure he's composed for the final.
If Di Maria is somehow fit that will lift them as well.
Chiles must wince every time he has to ask Fabio a question. It's like inviting a child to join in a conversation with adults, while everyone nods politely not wanting to dent his confidence.
Dixon's a twat, how can he say the Dutch keeper was under no pressure, did he not watch the last game....
See, I'm not sure he would've. Do it once and you might as well do it every time. It's already been made clear to the keeper that Krul is seen as the preferred penalty specialist. Utilize the strategy you think is best.
If anything Cillessen probably felt a bit of added pressure to try and match Krul and prove something. Could easily have been a distraction.
