He's definitely not the worst player in the last 20 years...he's not even the worst player at the club now...but I think Pav is starting to become the Spurs player I've disliked the most, certainly in recent memory.

Hmmm...maybe he is actually the worst player at the club at the moment afterall.

Yeah he's obviously not the worst player in the last 20 years. But I do think he's now the worst player in our first team squad.

Yea maybe, but only on form. I just think people have short memories. I remember the times when people were begging for Pav to start when Harry rarely picked him and we always looked a lot better when he was on the pitch. He's far from a poor player, but he really isn't playing well at the moment.

I was never one of those people and have never really rated him. I think he's been moving towards this sort of form for a while and in terms of talent I do think he's one of the weakest in our squad.

When Pav is at his worst he is undoubtedly worse than any other player we've had in the last couple of years at their worst. I think that's what's frustrating. I'd also say he's at that worst level more often than most of our other players.

Fair enough. Pav's performance ratings now are a different matter really but I wouldn't be too encouraged to pick him at all currently. I just know he has been an important player for us at least once if not numerous times since hes joined and some of the criticsm towards him had been harsh IMO.

I certainly don't disagree that he's playing shit now, but he most definitely hasn't always been like this.

Pav is not the worst Spurs player in the last 20 years...he is however, the player that pisses most people off right now!
Even more so, now that Crouch has gone...

We should have sold Pav after the first season. Not physically suited to English football.

Bump.

Pav.

Horrific player.

Knee-jerk reaction post ahoy!

This thread isn't for the worse Spurs player in the present squad, it's for the last 20 years and we've had far far worse forwards than Pav, let alone all the other positions.

I think people who are saying Pav probably have only been following Spurs a couple of years.

When we won the league cup in 99, only Ginola would get a sniff in our starting eleven now. Pav would have been straight in that team.

It's just present that sticks in the mind more.

Klinsmann, Lineker, Gazza, Waddle, Erik The Viking, Mabbut, Campbell, Ginola, Sheringham, Carrick, Berbatov were the only players at their peak to probably get into our starting eleven these days. That goes to show how much wank we've had in the past

I've thought long and hard about this and i've come to the conclusion it was Gilberto. Over the hill and didn't fit in, in any aspect, with the team at that time. Awful buy. Other than that, i can only think of a selection of average players who have gone on to do alright at their clubs after us

It's no knee jerky jerk jerk jerk my good chum.

I have always stated my belief that Pav was a panic buy. I have never sat here tounging his bumhole after a sweet finish because, like always his overall performances have mostly been poor.

Yes, he has scored some wonderful goals for us, some of which have saved us in vital games games and for that I will always be grateful.

However, for a professional footballer who trains day in day out, to have such poor level of control, strength and hunger is a disgrace.

I'm not saying he is the worst player we've ever had - but he's most certainly up there

worst player has to be Rasiak - the 'wooden Ronaldo'. Never seen such consistently bad first touch and poor technical ability. Awful player!

no chance, im in my 20s and ive seen far far worse, how old are you if you dont mind me askin?

pav has scored 38 goals in 99 apperances, note that probably half of those appearances are from the bench, or being subbed at half time. still not at allgreat but nowhere near the worst we have had.

I've seen some real shocking players in a spurs shirt, some truly dark times under Francias, Gross, Graham and hoddle

I love that people use this an excuse for Pav's goalscoring, yeah he's been subbed at half time a lot, only because he was so fucking awful that he had to be.

I've never 'hated' one of our own before, but after seeing the abuse that Crouch got from some ****s on here and in the ground (although not so much from where I sit, we must be more intelligent in block 30....) I am now more than happy to say that Pav is one of the most dogshit footballers I have ever seen. He is utterly disgusting. I cannot wait for the **** to literally fuck off.

Now we have Adebayor, it's time for a real cult hero, and one who is actually good.
