As far as tonight's performances goes Bassong is now right up there with Pav close behind.

never seen anthony gardner, ramon vega or gary doherty, alton thelwell, helder postiga, greg rasiak, john piercy or rebrov play then?

no players in our current squad are ANYWHERE NEAR THE WORST, even based on one off games

Bassong wasn't bad, it has to be difficult to play when there are only 2 ACTUAL defenders on the pitch.

This. And I don't even rate Bassong highly at all.

I wonder if some contributors to this thread have been watching us five years, never mind 20.

Knee-jerk reaction post. This thread is for worst players of the last twnety years, not players who have been shit in one game.

Pav and Bassong may not be playing too well but to say they're up there with some of the dross we've had wearing our shirts in the last 20 years is nonsense.

They both have the ability, in Pav's case he has poor application and in Bassong's case give the bloke a break we were trying to flog him to QPR in the summer and only kept him as we couldn't get Cahill - how would you feel if this was you?

Bassong is a good defender, but Harry seems to have gotten bored of him once he re-signed Kaboul, which is odd as he was class the season before last even playing well alongside Dawson who is notoriously difficult to partner unless he is alongside King or Woodgate before he went to Stokeland.

Pav is capable to some quality goals / link up play, he just has a poor attitude. He is still MILES ahead of the likes of Booth, Rasiak, Doherty (up top), Edson etc to name a few of the others forwards that have worn a Spurs shirt over the last twenty years. Remember the free kick Pav scored in the last European game?

And centre back-wise - Doherty, Nethercott and Vega. VEGA. Come on...

I wonder if some contributors to this thread have been watching us five years, never mind 20.

Seconded.

Did Edson makes any appearances for us? I remember him being a Frankie Friday signing. Along with Hamdouii.

Sorry but Gardner was a fav of mine, 6'6(but shit in the air) quick as any CB you'll ever see,ask Henry, admittedly concentration problems as well as injuries/fitness but a good player, the rest yeah

Helder Postiga annoyed the life outta me. The only thing i remember him doing was scoring a goal against us..... for Portugal when England played them in the Euros or WC i think!

Gilberto was awful aswell, i swear all he did was make mistakes, and he only played about 2 games!

Rebrov and Bunjeavic purely because they were hyped up to be the ''best'' only to be god awful!

Chimbonda because i thought his first season for us was quite good, then all of a sudden he turned awful.

Players with attitudes also hacked me of, players like Ghaly, Mido, Tarrabt etc. They all had/have reletively decent talent, but its a shame they have such poor personality's.

What you and others (thankfully the minority) fail to realise is that Sugar saved our arses. We may not have enjoyed our most successful years in the Sugar era but to call him the worst chairman ever is utter shite.

Graham worst manager? Are you high?
