Stop looking for a fucking scape goat. We got a record points tally this season, and are clearly building something. Last summer Levy brought in Vertonghen, Lloris, Dembele, Sigurdsson, Adebayor and Dempsey, in January he stumped up the cash to bring Holtby early and worked hard to get us Leandro. Be thankful that our club is on a great financial footing, improving every season, has a young squad with lots of potential, has a young and ambitious coaching team and that we are witnessing a player take the step from very good to one of the World's best in front of our own eyes.

4th 5th 4th 5th not sure how that represents 'improving every season'

Im sure that the offical amount abramovich is worth but maybe he is not declaring all his wealth??????

to be honest i don't care about abramovich. i care about joe lewis, what actually is the point of this guy? if he can't spare 20m from his 4.2bn wealth then what is he doing?

But if we continue our yearly cycle of failure then one of the world's best will be in front of someone else's eye's won't they.

Yearly cycle of failure? This year was always going to be transitional after the loss 3 World class players in King, VDV and Modric, and the change of manager, yet we finished with a record points tally, added some truly World Class talent and found a way of making Bale step up. If you consider that failure you are supporting the wrong club.

So what was the season about then, if not challenging for the top? We may not have reached the top but we did have a go in my opinion. There can only be one winner, but believe it or not, we did stand up and were counted in parts during the season, with our club being classed along with the best in the EPL.

Sorry but we neither challenged at top or for honours in terms of trophies - top 4 for me is neither of those, as Arse fans have become all too aware of

Why do we keep hearing it? Maybe because it is true, we changed manager and lost the heart and soul of a team, and had to rebuild from there. Most teams would spiral in that situation, we didn't.

So are you saying that a record points haul and breaking a 25 year best record for away wins isn't an improvement

No means bugger all in the scheme of things unless it amounts to something, I can imagine its something a club like Norwich may be proud of and make a big deal of ...... league finishes and trophies are what counts

I'm not saying Levy is a failure or bad for our club, I just wanted to state that he made a mistake with allowing the squad to go into the season with 1.5 strikers, a gamble that clearly backfired at key moments in the season, cost us points, money and maybe even better progress with attracting certain targets into the club. Even knowing we were challenging for top 4 and Ade going to the AFCON in January did not address this in the transfer window. This alone baffles me when every man and his dog knew what we required, let alone a board and chairman with seasons of experience.

Like I said truly baffling

As well as selling ball players like VDV and Modric and not replacing them properly was always going to hurt us. Dembele's a good player but started his career as a striker, was never gonna dictate games, we lost a lot in the summer in that respect and the dour football we've played most of the season is testament to that

Wenger the failure, vilified by large sections of Arsenal support for the last few years, always finishes about Spurs.

That's all you need to know.

You are correct, apart from the massive difference in wages, revenue, spending power, so on and so forth. Wait a minute...
