Where is the Janssen option? 10 for a cracking job of keeping the bench warm. For crying out loud Poch. No one else could do the business today. Give the guy a chance.

@Bus-Conductor tells us in about 12 paragraphs how these two dropped points were soley because of Dier playing midfield, in an "axis of bumbling" with Dembele.

FFS, does every bad result we get have to result in Sissoko bashing?

I don't want him at the club either, but he was actually fairly good when he came on IMO. Definitely much bigger things to complain about from that performance than that we brought Moussaka Sissoko on.

I know where you are coming from to be fair it's more just his standard that I don't like.

On better news I am definitely gonna call him Moussaka Sissoko from now on though :p

Whatever the weather or circumstances BC will twist it back to Dembele being this or that. Followed by some protege who should have played in his stead

Calming down.
Will post when I've had me tea and a lie down.
Never post when you are angry or hungry.
Wembley is jinxed and Harry can't score in August.
It's all true.

Nah mate it understand where you're coming from. I was really pissed when he came on as well as you can see here.

I just find the constant Sissoko bashing even when he has a good performance really annoying.

Also, holy shit this phone I'm temporarily using actually has the worst autocorrect feature I ever seen. Ever player name I type it gets corrected to some random bs. I do like the sound of Moussaka Sissoko though :p

Let me have a go. Everyone ignores the fact that when we needed some fucking tempo Dier and Dembele played to you to me to you to me to you to me and pointed at each other just to be sure, then when we needed to play to you to me to you to me to to me football they just fucking disappeared up each others anuses and then up Alderweirelds, and they will also ignore the fact that none of the fucking forwards could hold onto the ball and pissed away possession and great chances to counter continually, which led to us conceding dangerous chances that Burnley eventually took, and also ignore that Poch for some inexplicable reason put Sissoko into that game instead of Winks and trying to get hold of the ball, and will conveniently also forget that last week they were all moaning that Trippier didn't get forward enough and that Kyle Walker never did things like kick forty yard high back passes when we were 2-1 up and cruising at Anfield on a long winning streak which cost us the game and our whole season, and blame Trippier for everything that was fucking bad about that game, including Poch's lack of midfield bollocks, tactical in game ineptitude, forward wastage, and score him -5 and shit.

Hugo was good. His kicking is still erratic, but that shit isn't going to change. Good sweeper tackle in the second half. 8

Toby. Solid defending, not his best passing game. Could have done better when Burnley scored, didn't mark anyone. 7

Vert: Probably our best defender today and also good with the ball. Had a couple of good runs. 8. I voted him MotM

Davies: He is just kinda there. Solid defending and solid attacking. Doesn't run at anyone(really miss Rose). Good ground cross, horrible when he tries a normal cross. 7

Trippier: Awful game. Like Davies he doesn't run at the defender. Awful crossing. Last season you felt like every Trippier cross would be dangerous, this season you don't even feel like it will end up close to our players. His position isn't good and he doesn't defend well. He just seemed confused all game. 3

Dier: Decent game, nothing exciting. Had not much to do, but cleaned up well. Average passing, not moving it fast enough. It's generally a problem for our center midfielders. They offer zero threat and moves the ball too slowly. 7

Dembele: Same as Dier, but he still is a beast winning the ball and dribbling with it. But also like Dier he offers zero threat and his passing is just so slow. Sometimes it feels like we play with two defensive midfielders. Did Dier and Dembele even once make a run into the box? 7.5

Son: Looked rusty. Lost the ball a lot, his dribbling seemed a bit off. Didn't offer himself and didn't make those runs that got him into dangerous positions last season. Kinda says a lot about his performance that we looked better when Sissoko came on. 6

Eriksen. Mediocre game. Lost the ball a few too many times and not his best game decisions wise. Not finishing either. Had a lovely first touch on a Sissoko cross, but the keeper saved the shot. Still the only one who seems to want to pass the ball without needed to touch it multiple times. Had some really good runs, that we sorely needed, but didn't get the ball. Also gets a better grade because he did create our two best chances, that Kane and Dele missed. If they had scored just one of them we would have praised Eriksen for an assist. 7

Dele. Good game. More visible today and tried to run at Burnley. Really thought we needed that energy and we got it from Dele. Scored a goal and could have scored one more. Played better when he was moved out on the wing and he could run at Burnleys defender. Great game. 8

Kane. Took one million shots and missed everything. I'm harsh on Harry, because a striker simply needs to score on some of those chances that Harry is missing. It's the exact same thing we are criticizing Janssen for. And it's not like he is only missing difficult chances. Eriksen set him up perfectly in the second half and he wasn't even close to scoring. 2-0 and the game is over. It's also up and down with his general play. He sometimes makes the most simple mistake and he definitely makes more mistakes than last season. It's like he can make a great turn and get past the defender and then his cross gets blocked or his shot is wide. We would have had 9 points with the Kane from last season. 5

Sissoko. His first touch is shit, but he ran at Burnleys defence and made some great passes. Honestly not much more you can expect from a sub. 8

Overall it was a shite first half, pedestrian tempo and slow passing. Burnley created fuck all and parked the bus and we lacked pace and tempo. Second half was much better. Got a goal and it opened up the game and we should have scored a second and a third. That didn't happen and we fucked it up in overtime. The Wembley curse is real and so is the curse that Harry can't score in august.

Sanchez.

Though I'd rather just not tbh. If he's not putting crosses in he's useless to us. Like today. Only reason we have him as an option is for his deliveries. It certainly isn't for his recovery or defensive qualities.
I was shouted down when I said I would prefer to play KWP over Trippier earlier in the season. I still stand by that. Trippier was targeted by Burnley so instead of realising his limitations (lack of speed and mobility) and stayed back, he bummed forward and Burnley said thank you very much. KWP has only 1 game under his belt so his learning curve will be steep. Trippier on the other hand has been playing at top level for several years and hasn't learned anything. I see Koeman giving KWP's colleagues from the under 20 world cup champions games against the best and yet they have no more experience than KWP, and they are now benefiting from the experience

To be honest if Janssen isn't seen as a possible sub unless Kane gets injured it's pointless having him. We need a striker who Poch trusts to come on at the same time as Kane. Clearly he doesn't see Janssen as that and it's a waste of time him even being on the bench right now.

It says alot about the standard of our performance when Sissoko comes on for the last 20 minutes and so far has the most votes for MOTM

He should have come on for him in the last 15/10mins and told to play 70% defensively to close the game out. why tripps is balls deep in their half after being caught out time-after-time is just stupid.

And tbf to him it's poch who should have sorted the situation out.

We treated it like it wasn't that big a game and a game we should easily be winning. From Dele not really celebrating to playing like we're 3-0 up in last minutes it was just so stupid. It was a huge game considering how utterly diabolical we are at Wembley and we got just what we deserved at end. Poch should have got them time wasting and snuffing them out to get that first win.

Lloris - 8 excellent great save and awesome sweeping awful kicking again though

Trippier 2 - he's useless actually would rather play sissoko at right back, he's so lazy thinks he can just give up on his defensive duties never switched on for long enough

Toby 6 - meh passing was awful

Jan 7 - he tried to drive us forward and to create something

Davies 7 - very good until he tired could have has two assists on another day

Dier 6 - like having the titantic in the middle his feet just don't love quick enough for a midfielder

Demeble 6 - he's super affective at breaking up attadks it's just a shame they are ours

Alli 6 - needs to learn there's a time and a place for the tricks needs to mature more. Also what was that celebration about?

eriksen 5 - one of his ghost displays awful poor touch everything so not like him.

Son 5 - did not know he was on until he came off.

Kane 5 - looks unfit and off the pace. Nothing will fall for him either 0 luck

Regardless of anything you say, replacing Walker with Trippier is the biggest downgrade we've made since the Berbatov Campbell trade.
