Please do me a favour and never do the player by playercomparison again.

Nowadays football is a game of very small skill/physical margins so tactics, team mentality, belief etc. make the crucial difference.
But also there’s no point in comparing us as we play completely different systems so our players may struggle at their and theirs may at ours.

only team we can properly compare ourselves to man for man is Chelsea. Same system

'This Kulusevski' :cautious:

Ffs. Is almost like they haven't been watching football since beginning of the year and only knew him now.

Well after reading through those other forums it's pretty clear we've got Liverpool and City worried. United fans are calm in their lack of hope and Arsenal fans seem to be desperately trying to avoid a hysterical meltdown, I don't think they'll manage it.

Hard to believe but united fans are the most level headed among the big teams. Incredible what some humbling seasons can do to a fanbase.

Newcastle Online
  • Think Spurs can push Liverpool and Man City
  • Spurs pounding Southampton
Arsenal Mania
  • Our top 4 rivals handed easy opening fixture no surprise
  • Theo is scoring the winner for Southampton tomorrow.
  • Sp**s are such a boring team
  • If you broke football down into simple terms, it’s about scoring goals and not conceding goals. Who has the best goal scorers in England? Spurs with Kane and Son. Who has the best organizer as head coach? Spurs with Conte. Spurs should be close to winning the league IMO.
  • So what your'e saying is, if Sp*rs doesn't won the league, Conte is a fraud and should be sacked?
  • All fun games until teams start play counter attacking football and Sp**s will look predictable
  • Teams already figure Conte out Southampton going 352
  • This team is totally average, and Conte won't change that

I love the comment about teams not playing into our hands - I think they will find most teams try to not do that against any side.

I was never this bitter when Arsenal were better than us - I just picked on West Ham instead. Why is every Arsenal fan some undiscovered tactical genius?

I know. It’s like if it was so easy why wouldn’t every side just do what they’re saying…. These multi millionaire managers are just stupid clearly ?

After enjoying themselves yesterday laughing at us on KUMB, now they get the chance to laugh at themselves?
The so called Academy, showing themselves again to be the sink school of anti football.
Absolutely stinking the place out with their negative approach, boring, boring West Ham

Worrying how easy it is for city. West Ham away is one of those games we could do with them dropping points at

In a way I think they always recognised there'd be a humble period post-Fergie, albeit I don't think anyone could've predicted how bad it'd be or how long it'd last. We're at the point where there could be long term damage now though; I see more glory hunting kids supporting City than them these days.

I remember when a bus driver didn’t do this to one of my mates in the early noughties (not his job to do so obviously) and he got locked in the bus station. Woke in the night and had to find a way out.
I remember getting on the overland at Fulham one morning, after an all nighter. I closed my eyes for a moment and woke up just at the right stop. How lucky was that I thought to myself as I got off. Except it was dark out, which was confusing, and then I realised I'd got off at Fulham again.

God knows how many times I must have gone backwards and forwards on that train ?

True. By comparison, strange thing is that Arsenal have had it even worse in the last years and post Wenger but are still most dilusional.

Yeah, Arsenal are certainly special, just not in the way they'd like to think they are ?

When Arsenal were a machine 20/25 years ago, you just had to accept that they had far, far superior players to what we had at the time, and the best thing you could hope for was that a Henry, or Bergkamp would not be replaced and their period of superiority over us would end.

Fast forward 20/25 years and flip the scenario, and very, very few Arsenal fans can bring themselves to accept we have better players than them in numerous positions (and I'm by no means saying this Spurs team is of the quality that their invincible team was), in fact, they go to extremes to persuade themselves that our players are average and theirs are generational talents despite any evidence back it up.

I guess wearing red can have a profound effect on mental health.

To be fair the gap now, though significant, is nowhere near the gaping gulf between the invincibles and our perennially bottom-half shite of that era. Although I suspect they'd stay just as arrogant even if that did come to pass!

On a side note I still think it's pretty incredible how we've turned things around given how bad we were. We could easily have been another Forest with a lot of history but spending years or more in the Championship rather than the Champions League. It was never guaranteed that our club would be rebuilt and I'm very grateful that it was!

Saka has played
I mean there's so many things wrong with what the Arse fans said but Saka miles ahead of Kulu? I've absolutely never seen Saka play as well as Kulu today, not even close.
98 appearancea and 32 goal involvements….where as kulu has 15 in 19…that’s says enough
