Kaye, you're good at organising, how about we all chuck in a few bob, ask around at the ground and see if we can raise enough to get the right to name it and just call it "WHITE HART LANE" again :lol:

Ssshhh now listen carefully: it will still be called White Hart Lane it will always be called White Hart Lane because we will always call it White Hart Lane, however Mr Levy can't go to a prospective sponsor and say can you sponsor our new ground but we won't call it after you we'll still call it White Hart Lane and you can stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
Mr Levy has to say yes of course you will get your name on it and all official reference will be under your name but he knows that he will still secretly call it White Hart Lane just as we do, and eventualy after the sponsorship ends it will just revert to its proper name.

Unlike some clubs who move away and so can't keep the same name we can.

i cant think of it being called anything but white hart lane. i think there would be big protests about it changing too.
i dont know all the ins and outs of it but id be gutted if it changed!

It's inevitable, if it ever gets built, that it's going to be named after some big company, but it's only going to be for about 20 years. It's been 47 years since we won the league, nobody's forgotten that and we're not going to forget White Hart Lane. It will just be 'The Stadium temporarily known as...'.

Like Levy said, it's unavoidable. You take the King's shilling etc etc

but

we will always be super tottenham from the lane.

Let's not forget, unlike ar5ena1, we aren't actually moving. In fact our new stadium will be approx 200 yards closer to White Hart Lane than the old one

I see a lot people moaning but Levy is right, the stadium will be new so it won't be White Hart Lane. We will need help to finance the stadium and i for one are fully behind the board.

Will it have to be renamed every few years then? Great.

The idea of still calling it the Lane amongst ourselves is a nice thought, but everyone, gooners included, refer to their place as the Emirates now, it's just sunk in, as ours will :-(

I'm hoping that a porn company will sponsor us and we'll be called something like the Spunkytitmingeflange Arena. God i hope that happens.
