The best striker in the league is only about 5`8 - Aguero its not about size its about quality

It's about both imo. Between 2 equal strikers I would choose the bigger one if it's for the lone striker role. In this case, Lacazette is only slightly better than Batsuayhi imo. The latter is a better fit imo

I like Batshuayi as a No.9, but to Lacazette is only slightly better all round is a definite understatement. Lacazette's all-round game is far more complete than Batshuayi, and Lacazette can finish every bit as well at Batshuayi when he's fit and firing too.

I can't see us signing him unfortunately. Reading online seems A******* are after him.

I partially agree. Lacazette has better ball skills and vision, but Batshuayi has better off the ball movement and awareness.
Their finishing may be similar, but playing as a number 9 is not only about finishing, and Batshuayi has better attributes for the position we are discussing.
It's as if we were comparing Aguero and Van Nistelrooy. Aguero's all roung game is far more complete and they are probably equal at finishing. But if I have to chose between the 2 to play as a lone striker, I'll probably chose RVN. If we played with 2 strikers, then I would chose Aguero

Clinton, Kane, Lacazette, Batshuayi, Son and we have what we need up front. This would give us a lot of options. It would be a luxury week in week out. Very good competition for places as well. We would be able to switch between several formations as well. 4-3-3 formation could also easily be implemented. Apart from that we also have attacking midfielders/wingers like Chadli, Eriksen, Lamela, Onomah. Townsend is probably not a part of the team anymore (as it stands now).

DM saying we watched him again on the weekend. Really hoping we make our intentions known on January 1 if we are serious about the guy. Faff around and we won't get him.

Doesn't look at all likely for a January move.

Marseille have no other striker options so unless we pay a huge amount of money (hint: we won't) they won't sell him until the summer when it's easier to bring in replacements.

Trix' ITK does sound like he could be alluding to our interest in him though.

I'm sure trix said explicitly that him, bera and perez are definitely on the list

I reckon this guy will be the next Gomis in the league. We won't sign him and he will end up at someone and prove average in the prem.

If the price is to be believed we won't be paying 25m plus for him or any other so move on is my advice.
