Totally agree and have been saying the same all window. There must be one number 9 in the whole of world football who we could get on loan.

It's a very low risk strategy too as if it doesn't work we are not committed to anything. The only downside is paying their wages for 4 months, but compared to the risk of our season going tits up its surely the better option?
Who loans a good striker out? Even if you are saying they don't have to be top class, you wouldn't even get a club in the championship to loan you a striker.

Re the latest itk, I genuinely admire Poch's stance on a happy dressing room but there's still nothing wrong with a short term solution if he can't find the right long term striker in January. This is our best chance in years to finish 4th at least, it will literally fall to pieces if Kane gets a long term injury. Another (better) Saha for instance, would be fine for a few months. Can give Kane and Son the rests they need for important games. He may not even be called upon but at least he's there if needed. Then Poch can concentrate on finding a proper long term solution in the summer rather than panic buy or buy no one now.

I'm not in panic mode...yet! We have to remember that apart from an early January snippet from the Goat last year, we didn't hear anything concrete on us signing Alli until 30th January (from ghostofarmo). The media stories about us signing Alli then came out after we saw that ITK, and 3 days later, it was confirmed. It just shows that things can happen very quickly so we'll just have to wait and see. If on Sunday there's no indication we're near to signing a striker, I will definitely be worried!

Deadline Day is on Monday 1st February by the way.

Very interesting tweet from Andros which seems to say 'goodbye and thanks' - posted in the Andros Townsend thread to avoid A&C's ire.

Probably not something you want to hear, well I don't, I want another striker in case Harry gets injured!:

From coys:

Atlanta Yid, on 25 Jan 2016 - 8:50 PM, said:

Don't hold your breath for a new striker the checkbook is open but the gaffer is more than happy with the team doesn't want to upset the dressing room

Even Levy thinks we need a striker

In all seriousness how does adding a striker to a squad which only has one recognized striker upset the dressing room?If anything it will only help the squad.

No disrespect to the ITKs but I think we will still get in a striker. The need is just too obvious this time.

A lot of info suggesting Poch cautious after his Southampton Osvaldo decision. Clearly he also sees Son as an option and, possibly, Chadli. So if he can't get the right one he will wait - a reasonable decision really

How can signing Sandro Ramirez and M. Dembele MkII affect the changing room is beyond me. Unless Poch going to sign a big name ego stirker, I really dont see what the hell is that all about.

Didn't we sign Gudjohnsen on loan or a 6 month contract?

Hertyid on COYS (responding to an obviously rubbish story about wanyama and a couple of other things):

Wanyama? What a pile of bullshit! The Sun plumbs new depths in journalistic decency.

Andros - got the deal we wanted, best of luck to him.

One in one out.

He flew out in a Private Jet - His brother posted a pic.

Corroborating the news from Grey Fox that we will be bringing someone back from Spain with us I imagine...

Oh, now I see! Many thanks for deciphering that for me, on first read thought it was a bit harsh taking the mick out of his small manhood!
