You can say we couldn't break down the brick wall defence and bemoan this, but much more worrying for me is that in the first half hour WBA didn't even sit deep. They were able to push up and knock the ball around and look the better team playing a bit of football. That part of the game, where we had absolutely no energy, desire, intensity, organisation etc etc etc to what we did, particularly without the ball, is what most concerned me. To me that shows that what has been our bread and butter for three years and a cornerstone of our game just isn't firing and should be a worry.

Now as a Spurs supporter of 30 years, it has become my very nature to crave disappointment; with the odd glimmer of glory on the way. So it takes quite a bit for me to be negative about us these days... But that's the first time I've left a match genuinely angry, in a good long while.

Apathetic and soft performance, appalling officiating, and as thorough a display of bastardry from a team still in the thrall of the ghost of Pulis as you'll see. Never before have I seen a referee as atrocious as that from start to finish, nor a goalkeeper take the piss for the full 90 the way Foster did. Astonishing frankly.

Poch needs to sort their heads out, and figure out a way to beat these teams who come to defend and kill the game. A phone call to his mentor Biesla for a meal and a brain picking wouldn't go amiss.

Personally I thought that was thoroughly enjoyable. Not a very satisfying result... but we threw the kitchen sink at them, and the intensity from the players (on both teams) was incredible. You can't win them all.

You could throw a blanket over our players when we get into the final third. Clueless. No fucking thrust round the outside on either flank.

We made a balls of the summer transfer window.
Not been on the Zaha wagon; but at this point, just get the guy in. He's always desperate to penetrate (ooooh).

Rose and Aurier at home would give us more attacking pace and width... I would also like to see Dembele pushed into the attacking midfield position where his ability to go past players could win free kicks and create space.. Poch needs to try something different as we are getting very predictable now..

Walker was miles better, he could beat his man with pace and was an absolute beast defensively. Trippier has none of those qualitys.

Well he's seen how limited we were, and has gone onto better things, so best you get over him.

Tripper is a good defender and proved his crossing prowess on numerous occasions, none other than that volleyed cross that he put in for Dele's goal against Madrid. Had that chance had fell to Walker the ball would still not have come back to Earth.

How can people already say we're not as good as last season? Do people not remember the rubbish run we went on last autumn?

Does anyone else find it tediously boring every time we don’t win, the same old brigade come out and commit collective suicide. And start wetting themselves. I mean I hate us losing, but good grief people, get a grip,
Yet you come on here with nothing constructive to say.

For refereeing performances see Stoke away a few years ago.

Bringing silverware into our new stadium would be the perfect symbol of what it was built for.

Think about it.

Far too many fans who think we are better than the league cup -- makes me laugh, won nothing but the league cup since 1991 but suddenly we are above that trophy.

I just want to win something, and the league cup is the easiest one to get, seriously Wigan, Portsmouth have won the FA Cup more recently than us

Maybe well be another season of, not a lot to show for it - though some good results/wins along the way.

It's completely ridiculous.

It's frustrating but I guess we all vent in a different way.

But I wouldn't worry to much about that.........It won't be long before the Poch out/has he taken us as far as he can threads start appearing and you'll be double cheesed off :D

With Trippier and Davies instead of Walker and Rose we have no width from our full backs and can't get in behind teams. Poch is a moron for dropping Rose.

Other than that we were lucky to get an undeserved point and will not finish on the top four with this squad.

Can't beat top teams away, can't beat teams who park the bus, this seems to be turning in to a bit of a problem.

Rose, certainly. But I have to tell you that I am not convinced Aurier is any quicker than Trippier, and he is just as reluctant to take people on in the final third.

I think Dembele is fucked. Always needed a run of games to get some form going and now can't manage that at all.

Pace would have been helpful today too. No pace on the flanks or upfront. Sit sterling or bennetts on the bench if poch thinks edwards is too small. Also starting all 3 of our attacking mids left poch with no good subs. Only 2 can start games from now on imo, bring dembele back in to CM next to winks.

:arghh:

Hate anti football. But as long as it works teams will continue to park the bus and stick a big man upfront

Truth is, it could have been worst. Gutted.

2 points drop.
