I'm on both sides, I love of bit of Apres Reál fellatio and a proper moan up (say in best Danny Dyer voice)

Venting is good for the soul, you cock goblins!

People say we don't cross the ball once Llorente enters the fray, but that's not right. He doesn't put himself about. He thinks the fucking ball is just going to magically land on his head.
Guy's a total puss right now - at least Janssen 'puts himself about' which is basically the lowest remit you could possibly ask for a striker.

I just hope we don't lose too much of our first 11 when we miss out on CL football and end with no trophies, especially after they will see Walker live the title and probably a few other cups.
So fed up and seriously falling out of love with football now with the oil men buying trophies.
I just want us to win stuff and we are never going to unless we change our approach to the smaller trophies, we cant think we can win titles/CL yet, we are miles away from that and Poch is naïve if he doesn't realise that
I don't think we will see a mass exodus of players but yes one or two will undoubtedly go and like walker this year win the league etc.
Poch is doing an ok job but his failing is not finding a solution to what we have seen today which occurs on a regular basis and not getting in the right quality, for example llorente what the fuck is that about looks way past his best and lost even.

Yeah but you cant generalise everyone that is making constructive comments about improving our performances as being negative.

By all means call out the posts you think are being over the top individually.
Fair points. I don’t mind constructive criticisms, it’s the end-of-the-world over-reactions “we’re never going to get top 4, we’re not as good as we think we are” comments that irk me. But, it’s my problem, and I probably need to find a happy place to go

Well, that was poor. Trippier and Eriksen were awful, Alli hasn't got the message that he's not going to get anything by falling over, and as Waddle pointed out, we keep trying to score perfect goals. Sebo_Sek is correct that Kane doesn't pass enough. Also, from where I was watching Lloris seemed to stand and watch the ball rolling in. Finally, sometimes you have to just not lose, so going into a kamikaze defence and nearly giving away the game at the end was stupid.

Of course u can have both..
Winning the League Cup will not bring honour to your family. It is very much the lowest of all the competitions we are involved in and there are too many games to prioritise every one.

Personally I'll take beating Real Madrid and Dortmund in the Champions League over beating West Ham in the League Cup. And no, you can't have both.

They earnt us a point today when no one else did anything either
So the end justifies the means? Is that your level of critical thinking? And I won't even waste time deriding your quality of ratiocination; it's low hanging fruit. But today's game serves as a great example as one of 'they' lost us two points with poor control and shitty situational recognition by losing the ball in the center circle and not busting a gut to either 'take one for the team' or protect the ball with all his life.

The knee jerk is so fucking annoying. Yes it's an shit result, but the performance wasn't anywhere near as bad as everyone is making out. PARK BUSING TEAMS ARE HARD TO BEAT

People calling us legends and saying poch needs to be 'seriously questioned' are embarrassing, we've just topped out champions league group, we're 4th in the league all whilst playing every game away from home

The entitlement from our fans now is unbearable
Hardly a sense of entitlement is it expecting to beat a team fourth from bottom at home, this is the same problem as last year and the year before an inability to beat the weaker teams when they bank up.
Although I'm not a football manager I would assume that part of our manager's remit is to find a way around teams who do this as it clearly happens on a regular basis, so if the club has designs on being either the best or amongst it then this needs solving which is hardly knee jerk.

Thing is we all knew this would probably happen today. The players looked like that knew and had no idea or ability to change the outcome.
Just a thoroughly depressing afternoon all round.

I think if Pochettino has ambitions of going to a major club he is going to have to improve his tactical appreciation of the opposition and in game management. At home against the weaker teams you have to play the extra attacking player
In theory the first XI fielded to play the game was hard to disagree with.

But seeing through that you've got tiredness, out of form players and a terrible bench. We don't have strength in depth, it's as simple as that.

my thoughts

  • Davies and Tripper are perfectly competent, but against teams that play no football we need the equivalent of Rose and Walker. We had no pace and no penetration without them.
  • You can take Pulis out of a club but his vile stench lingers...........as soon as they scored after 3/4 mins you just knew that what we were about to witness was a masterclass in time wasting.
  • we don't have to worry about Real Madrid coming in for Dele at the end of the season......not if he continues to play like that.
  • i hate west brom.......dont really see the point of them.
  • we have a fight on our hands to get in the top 4. we can do it obviously but we won't if we continue to drop points like today - 6 points dropped to burnley, swansea and WBA - against 4 home points dropped all of last season.

It seems that Eriksen hasn't fully recovered from the two draining WC playoffs he had for Denmark, with not much recovery time since.

I think he needs a rest in midweek or at least start only on the bench and only use if needed.

and Poch is happy with the effort again, fuck me what was he watching for the first 70 mins. The effort came after Kane scored but too late again.

I'm bracing myself for the barrage, but for me the main culprit for our lack of proper penetration is Kane. Whenever he gets the ball, doesn't matter if it's 20 yards out or 5, he's gonna shoot. Today at least twice he had better placed partners who were running into the box unmarked, but he decided to shoot anyway. Sadly, he's putting himself first.
Look at Dele. He tries to find better placed people sometimes when he has a clear channel to shoot. I know that Kane is the dog's bollocks, and I love him to bits for the passion and skill set, but he needs to MATURE as a player. It doesn't always have to be him on the score sheet.
As far as our form is concerned, I reckon if things don't change soon, we may have to focus, and I mean seriously focus on the Champions League. Let me explain. In Europe teams will very rarely/never sit back against us. They will come to play. And when they open up, that is when we can slice into them. As per Real and Borussia. Those two outfits are no mugs, right? And we got 10 pts out of 12 against them. Call me crazy but I see us making history in the CL this year. Of course it's all down to the draw at the end of the day, but on our day, in Europe, we can beat ANYONE.

Sell him i say...........

"culprit for lack of penetration is Kane"

ffs

If Poch and the team have some secrect masterplan and we are quietly going about our business by placing all our eggs in one basket and hoping we qualify for next season's Champions League by winning it in May 2018 then I must say, it's a very risky strategy....
