Well if you only see shit then there is no sweetcorn ... I like pragmatists when it comes to football, it reinforces my love of being a supporter, I get to escape and feel better about myself all at the same time!

:)
Why would you feel the need for escapism after holding West Brom to a draw? It was a good result.

I wasn’t giving game 100% of my attention but I though Trippier played ok. Put in some great crosses. West Brom defended very well for most of the game. Their legs were gone in the last 15 mins and we should have got the winner. Shows how good our fitness levels are that we played away in Germany midweek but still had more energy at the end of the game.
What is shown in these types of games is that we lack a player like Hazard, Salah, maybe even Zaha. A direct player who can run at defenders with the ball at his feet, two great feet and an eye for goal. We are forced to try and pass our way through. A more direct player scares the shit out of defenders and pulls them out of position creating space. That should be top of Poch’s shopping list.

Hope Mrs A&C don't have social plans for you guys tonight. Actually, come to think of it I do as that will lead to another 'chronicle'.
It is no small coincidence that I am currently touching cloth and about to go give birth. I may have to lower it down on a rope. Back soon.

Mrs A&C is being slapped from pillar to post. He comes in here, and pretends that nothing can make him angry, but nobody falls for it.

If only we had an exciting 18 year kid on bench. Someone with low centre gravity and great dribbling skills that can run at a packed defence (n)

Just to add I think the fact that NONE of the players have been rewarded with pay increases after last seasons 2nd place finish may be playing on the players minds.

This is not a knee jerk comment I've been thinking this for awhile.
I'm sure they got nice fat bonuses for a) finishing 2nd b)getting into the CLge and c) all their win bonuses last season would have added up quite nicely.
They get bonuses for everything these days.
New contracts have been signed, updated. Spurs players are constantly having their contracts renewed and upgraded.
I think you are barking up the wrong tree there my friend.

That should of been top of pochs shopping list in the summer but wasn't dealt with, this failure to get this position sorted may cost us a CL position come May.
To be honest I find us predictable and a bit boring if I'm honest just seeing the ball shifted sideways with no end product is utterly tedious imo.

Really wish a ref would book time-wasting in the first half and not just 10 mins before end of game. West Brom were at of from the 5th minute. Should have booked Keeper in the first half

Anyway first time at Wembley (very good) and first time for my boys seeing Spurs. Least they got to see Kane score, but not the match or atmosphere we were hoping for.

Megson said we changed formation many times during the game to try to break them down, anyone who went to the game can say what these formation tweaks are as poch also said we did this last season (in his book) and I find it hard to see us looking any differently to how we start the game with the 3-4-2-1?

Chelscum had Pedro, Willian and fibreglass to bring on, while Liverfools has had Mane and Llalana to come on, with Firminho still on bench I think? Their depth vs ours. Miles apart. Games changers? I say we had none.. The rest of the title contenders can probably sub in 3 game changers for the subs ffs..
