Peanut on COYS reckons Modric will start pending any adverse reaction in the warm up.

i'd be very happy to get out of there by a narrow defeat. Milan have been really very good this season. powerfull and controlled side. A better version of chelsea at the moment.

With a midfield of Palacios and Sandro the only thing i fear is vdv/crouch not getting any possession unless lennon can whip a few balls in. We are going to miss modric big time

great thing about champions league games, important but never nervous after young boys, because we've already done extremely well to get here so being knocked out wouldnt be a disgrace at all, especially to AC. just as long as we don't get thrashed in both legs

They could only beat Auxerre in the group stages. If we can't do as well as Ajax I'll be a little disappointed.

rumours of modric starting certainly gathering pace....class act, ability to keep and pass ball cud be crucial and without him we dont have that. if we got 60 minutes out of him it wud be fantastic

Only 2 main concerns:

1. Berlusconi's money effecting the referee
2. Gomes' performance

Outside of those things, Spurs have a great opportunity to win on the road. I am concerned, as with all continental matches, that diving at the challenges of Spurs defenders will be problematic - hence #1 main concern.

COYS!!!

Dont worry guys! According to the game of fifa I just played online against a random geordie we're going to win 3-2!

Gallas header from a corner in the first half puts us one up, before AC equalise from a cheap penalty. In the second half lennon scores a cracker after a cutting run into the box to put us back in front, before zlatan equalises again from a corner. Just as the game appears to be dead Palacios gets the ball on the edge of the Milan box and lets loose a piledriver that the keeper can only parry into the path of Kranjcar. 3-2 spurs away win!!!!

points of note:
sando has a solid game in the middle of the park
pato and VDV both miss sitters
kranjcar hits the bar

Modric? That would be very very sweet. A lot more optimistic if he makes starting 11

I don't feel that nervous at all. Extremely strange. Why am I not nervous?!

I'd take 1-1 right now, that would be a good result to me.

I've found Dawson to be very good up against Berbatov so I think he can do a good job on Ibra tonight.

I think Dawson will be fine with Ibra, he'll have more trouble with Robinho IMO, who will hopefully be tracked down relentlessly by Palacios.

Any score line that gets us a goal and doesn't have us losing by more than 1 goal is more than fine with me.

Where's Paul the octopus when you need him...

I'm almost climbing the bloody walls at the moment... It just seems like if we can get a result here something special is on the horizon.

Away goal crucial and even if we lost 3-1 I would still believe we could still go through.

I'm not nervous either, I'll be more nervous come the Blackpool game strangely enough.

Would be brilliant if Luka was fit though, I'd feel a lot more confident in us being able to move the ball quickly and be more of a threat with Luka.

COYS.

These are games you live for - for years I've yearned to be involved in the Champions League and take on the cream of Europe and now we are actually fulfilling this.

Regardless of result I'm proud of my team for realising a dream of mine and all yours too I'd imagine.
