Wilson or Sandro + Niko > Wilson + Sandro

Have you ever seen Niko in a central midfield role?

He has done well but is better kept as impact sub, on the left or for VDV, he can't play CM, especially not away to Milan who have an athletic and tough CM 3, that is just crazy talk.

He did well against Twente.

Not saying he should be there today, but you asked.

yah - VdV probably won't last so it makes sense to use Kranjcaer as a replacement - a smooth transition.

Makes no sense to me to leave out a matchwinner; not happy with Sandro and Palacios together in the centre, particularly without a creator on the left; can see VdV dropping very deep to get the ball and leaving Crouch isolated, which negates the point of playing him. Isn't Pienaar supposed to be able to play attacking centre midfield? Would prefer him instead of Palacios, with Niko out left.

Oh well let's hope we are not too far behind when Harry sorts it out at half-time.

Fuck me, that place looks intimidating when it's dressed up in all those flags like that, it's more like something out of gladiator. Not sure I ever felt nervous before seeing a stadium on TV!

Harry did say Kranjcar will come on at some point but for goodness sake people, let's get behind the side and enjoy the experience of playing at the San Siro in the last 16 of the Champions League.

A massive COYS!

HR confirms Pienaar in for defensive duties as well as maybe a bit fresher than Kranky who has played 2 full games in a week.

Can understand but feel for Kranjcar who deserves a starting place. Based on form, not on an irrational hatred of Pienaar nor a love of Kranjcar. That's my two pence which usually turns out to be proven wrong

Hope so, Pienaar to bag a goal

Anyone know the story on Hutton? Not heard any mention of him being injured, but not on the bench again today.

Ray Wilkins co commentating. I think he's a good analyst so should be good at the co-commentary.

What weird and wonderful places are people watching this in? I'm an English/Australian mongrel watching in Colombia :) Working over here but have been given a two day break so a beer in the hand right now!
