I'm normally all for giving managers more time and have defended AVB quite strongly on here up until now.
But the emphatic nature of our crapness on Sunday, coupled with the fact that the fans were already on his back just makes it look like there's no way back. Even if he won the next couple of games people would still not support him, and it just seems like we've reached that tipping point where there's no going back.
It's a shame because I really thought AVB was going to be our manager for a long time. But we still aren't that far away from top 4, the transfer window is coming up and I'm not sure I now see any benefit in giving him more time.
It'll be a bad bad day for the club if he is sacked as it will be confirmation of another wasted couple of years, but it just looks like there's not much choice anymore.
You are now where I was after West Ham.
Winning a few games didn't appease me at all. Then getting twatted by city put the nail in the coffin.
Yesterday the coffin wad cremated.
