You think so? Ade was far more effective for us last season than Berbatov has been for Fulham this. When you consider that Ade was absolute dross for much of last season, that's really saying something.

I'm amazed, again, at the number of people who want him back after the utter contempt with which he treated club and fans. Fortunately, as Spurs Bear posted a while back, this won't happen while Levy has a hole in his arse.
Not really a fair judgement. I'd like to see Ade's temperament if he was playing for Fulham and how effective he would be. End of the day quality players like Berba still need other quality players around them. No point Berba pulling the ball out of the sky with a wonder touch to then look up and see other players in his team not on the same wavelength. Berba is still one of the best out there for holding up the ball. He would be perfect for the system of football we try to play.

All this talk about how he left Spurs and we shouldn't take him back etc etc is silly. End of the day he wanted to sign for the biggest club in the world and win trophies. How can we stop a player from living his dreams!

Bale is no different to Berba. He done everything possible to join Real Madrid. If people believe that crap about Bale being injured then they need a reality check! He refused to play for Tottenham in pre-season to minimise the risk of being injured. Would we take Bale back? YES!

According to TalkShite, isn't Berbatov going to the Arse in Jan ?. Some journalist on last week saying it was done ??

The thought of him going there haunts me to the point I may even cry. Can you imagine him and Ozil, two sublime players working together whilst we strut our balls from side to side? Soul destroying if it happens as I can see Berba fitting in nicely there.

Couldn't agree more - also Klinsmann, Teddy and Keane, they were all desperate to leave and yet we welcomed them back with open arms.

Short-term for 6-18 months would be a great signing. Somebody who can score goals, create chances, play with or without Soldado/Defoe and is Premier League proven. He formed a pretty useful partnership with Hernandez at United which makes me think he'd work well with Soldado and would give us an outlet to hold the ball up.

Alright he's old and on the way down but that's fully reflected in his price-tag.

No one is arguing about Berbatov wanting to leave. The way he did it, his unprofessionalism and lack of respect towards the club is the source of people's negative feelings towards Berbatov.

Don't make out it's simply because he wanted to leave, that's bollocks.

So you would turn down Bale if he wanted to come back because he refused to play during pre-season to minimise risk of injury before joining Madrid.

I've said it a few times before. Stop faffing about and get the guy back asap. He would be reasonably priced, slot in straight away and give us a huge boost for what will be a very difficult and close end of season push. The AVB-Ade relationship is ridiculously enigmatic and Defoe is.... Defoe. Berbatov on the other hand is still class and still hungry, otherwise he wouldn't be trying to leave Fulham.

Missing a friendly when your chairman is negotiating a world record move is different to a player refusing to play mid season when your chairman doesn'tt want to sell you.

Well they all managed to leave before they were asked to play but the desperation to leave was no less.

Being desperate to leave i repeat i have no problem with.....refusing to play a competative game i have a problem with...everyone is entitled to leave for whoever they wish for, but to refuse to play whilst being our player is a step too far and one which imo warrents never being welcome back.

This refusing to play thing is very annoying yes but it seems to be standard practice with players pushing for dream moves. Berba, Modric and Bale all did it to a degree and we buckled each time. Imagine he signs for Arsenal on a short term deal and pulls the strings for them up front while we are stropping around bitterly thankful we didn't sign a quality player just because he left acrimoniously years ago!

Come on it's not like he's your ex girlfriend or something.. it's football ffs. Don't take it personally. I'm sure we'll all get over what happened should he perform well for us.

How about refusing to play when DL turned down Real Madrids first offer! How about Bale stormed out of a meeting with DL because he refused to sell him.

Trust me mate no different to Berba. DL's hand was forced on both occasions.

Every fan is entitled to have different morals, thats upto you....on a footballing note i see bringing him back a mistake too, and would be astonished if Wenger took him to the emmirates, when fergie dumped him ony Jol wanted him...why is that?

Fulham the only club that wanted Berba? No! Fulham the only club willing to match his wage demands? Possibly.
