Yes. What is more the bid I think he's referring to is the one from them at the beginning of the window.Does anyone else think Ince has spoken about the Villa bid to put pressure on us to make a large offer?

I agree with some of the above comments that its Ince trying to put pressure on us and maybe start a biddding war for Bentley between us and Villa! I would like Bentley to joing us. However if we did "lose" him to Villa I wouldnt be 100% fussed as we still have Lennon and I think £17 million is far too much money for Bentley!
You left a 'non' out there.
just caught the end of some kind of transfer upadte on sky sports and they were talking to some guy (sorry dont know who) and basically he said although we are interested villa are the only team to put in a offcial bid.
So much for all them multiple bids in the papers
Once again it's costing us that we're too slow to move for a player. We should've moved for Bentley last summer or this January, just like we should've moved for a proper CB and a proper defmid last summer.
We've been linked with Bentley since the second week of May at least, and were almost certainly making our first enquiries some time before that. These things aren't done over a weekend, particularly if a player's club is determined to hang on to him. This is the real world, not FM.
Perhaps we should visit the Magic DM Tree and give it a good hard shake.

Yeah, cause everyone's been buying loads more players than us...
I'm not saying they are.
I'm saying we could've saved a lot of money by moving for players earlier. Signing a Rocha who was ineligible for the UEFA, spending £14m on Boat and Kabo who wasn't ready for the prem, etc.
(That said, we've got a lot more of catching up to do, compared to teams like Everton, etc. Because of the transfer failures of the previous windows)
Sky Sports News are the same if not worse than the papers
