Can you see Ll
I think it's due to Janssen being so ineffective. the idea is to now get a proven prem goalscorer in as #2 as a stop-gap for a couple seasons.

I understand the idea but the profile of this player just doesn't suit us imo.

I think the amount of starts he will get will be minimal bar a few lower profile cup games. I think his other atributes make up for his ability to press he's being signed to finically give us a plan B option off the bench when we are against the bus parkers. Plus he has a wealth of experience and has won things, which I'm sure will at at least something to the changing room. 15 goals was a very impressive return from a shite Swansea team, he actually had a better conversion rate than Kane last season.

This is clearly a Poch signing and if he wants him I am buy into it.

If this goes ahead would this be seen as backing the manager? It doesn't follow the usual "investment" requirement?

What about our style of play?
Quite often we spend a lot of time playing around the box without being able to score. A player like Llorente could very well have helped us seal the deal against Burnley with his physicality for instance as our only options for big parts of the game was either trying to play around the defence or pump crosses in.

i think thats the point. Bring on an experienced player who forces you to do something different to break a weaker opponents parked bus.

Or when you just need to batter a team that is clever & superior but not physically imposing. Imagine Kane and Llorente against Real Madrid for example

Llorente is an excellent player and would be an impressive back up. I can't understand why people wouldn't be happy with this. As for 'wouldn't suit our style's guff, a good player is a good player whatever system you place him in. Been an admirer for a while and hoping this comes off!

Sorry I don't know much about stats, is that good?

Those are very good numbers and shows he is very effective, he doesn't need many shoots to score. It also helps that basically all his shoots came inside the area and once you add the fact that he on average won 4.7 header the 6th most in the EPL last season makes for a rather dominant penalty area player.

Not only is it a good signing for us but would take away a signing from Chelsea. If he were to sign for Chelsea people would be complaining about their striker options vs ours.
