Fernando Llorente has signed a two-year contract and is now a #thfc player. [@GuillemBalague]

Whilst I'd be pleased if this were the case, surely Llorente has to take and pass a medical before he becomes a Spurs player.

Contract signed subject to medical might be a more accurate description of the actual situation.

But VJ must want out now as it's a World Cup year, so we'll see who comes in for him - whether loan or permanent.

Apparently he's currently at our training center for his medical.

He was apparently on his way to North London earlier today, and it's quite often said the media are a bit behind. So there's nothing to say he hasn't signed the contract with us and is doing the medical as we speak. When that's done I'd imagine we'd announce it as a club

I think this is a great deal. He got excellent movement and are lethal in front of goal. Rose + Aurier whipping the crosses in = goals goals goals. Good mentor for the youths also, seems like a professional and good guy. (y)

he's an experienced back up striker to Kane that may have a couple of good seasons left, or may not. at 12 million worth a punt but he's hardly one for the future.

John Percy (Telegraph) is one of the best around and saying Janssen may go the other way on loan. Good all round IMHO and could help in keeping Chelsea out of it.

Definitely has to be a factor for VJ - i'd sooner loan him and see how he does but if Levy does sell (like Wimmer) surely we have some nice sell-ons/buy-backs in the mix.

On Llorente - he'll be decent short term cover, not sure how long term we can plan with him as our backup option but will provide a good plan B hopefully. I love a player who can head a ball as well - a bit of a lost art in the modern game.
