So we potentially throw away progressing so the manager can swing his bollocks?
Managing is about dealing with difficult characters not throwing them out of the room.
It's not about swinging his bollocks. I've always defended Ade, but he's pissed off so many managers now that it's clear he's a disruption of some sort. You don't make a stand against a negative influence in the work place and then go seeking his assistance just because, on one occassion it might suit you. It's weak. And it shows a lack of confidence in the players that have got on board with your vision and standards from the outset.
I understand the temptation. But it's weak. Simple as that.
