Wouldn't do a swap deal obviously. But first option won't hurt us if we get Bale and keep both Alli and Eriksen.

If and when they want to move they will get their move to Madrid and we will get a shitload of cash.

Are first options even a thing? What if the player says he won't go? Surely Real would know if united or someone came in for them anyway? If all we had to do to get Bale was give Real a call if we're gonna accept anothe bid, I'd signing every day of the week

Do you remember back in about 2012 when it was announced Spurs had a 'strategic partnership' with Real Madrid ? something that apparently ended officially according to the club website in November 2014. It seemed very much a one way street at the time with the final straw being Modric leaving and the promise of an influx of the Spanish side's younger players not materialising. Times were different then and we ended up looking very much the 'country cousin' to Real...but things have hopefully changed. and they can no longer just cherry pick our top talent at will. Our squad is happy and settled and no longer has one or two outstanding players which 'catch the eye'.... we have a team of them. They play as a complete top professional unit and on their day each one can be as equally impressive as the other. The lure of playing for RM will always be there but with what is currently being built at Tottenham perhaps the bright lights of Spain shine just a little less brightly as they did in the Gareth Bale era. Whatever happens... in the current market conditions the value of the Spurs stars being discussed has absolutely rocketed. I would welcome Gareth back if possible...but definitely not if it involved the breaking up of the group of players we now have.....no individual player is worth that.

It's a nice thought, but if the likes of Kyle Wanker and Muppet-Rose are getting their heads turned by the money of some of the tin pot oil clubs in England...I think it's fair to say that anyone bar Kane wouldn't jump at the thought of Real at this point in time.

As long as the club continues to move forward that includes keeping the team and wages competitive as possible things should be ok.
However we should be under no illusions that if we don't remain competitive then the possibility of losing people like Kane could be likely, his love for the club can only extend so far.
I think winning a trophy or two would really help us along the road with the transition and settling into a new stadium over the next few years.

I think if RM have other targets this year but I do expect them to come knocking hard next year. They will need to replace Benzema so Kane would be the best they can get. Couple with that another year of experience that Dele would have in Europe and under the best coach there is for developing talent and he becomes a better prospect. It is that point they might offload an older Ronaldo or more likely sell Bale unless he has a strong, injury free system

tough days like today do make me miss the bastard, but we are a better club now then when we sold him we need to keep moving on and keep growing.

Growing momentum of rumours on certain social media that we may be considering resigning the Welsh wizard. It just couldn't happen could it? This can't be the unexpected signing the ITKs keep alluding to? Surely not.

Hope not. He's a shadow of the player we sent them.

I think he might come back one day but he's always crocked and wouldn't be the same Bale we remember.
