Yeah, cheers for the good news:eek:

Surely Man United don't need another CB? Unless Vidic is off but Vidic, Ferdinand, Evans, Smalling and Jones. Barcelona though...I guess they could do with one :(

I'm not saying that he won't sign for Spurs, but this "Tottenham are my absolute favourite" tagline seems a bit over the top. Most of you probably not know that he went to see Arsenal - Milan at the Emirates. Initially he said that he went with Siem de Jong on an invitation from Vermaelen and the fact that Urby, Seedorf and Zlatan were also there made it kind of a reunion, but he later admitted that he knows Wenger has been following him for a while and that Arsenal fit his criteria for the type of club he only wants to leave Ajax for.

remember one thing, you will never get an easy deal with a dutchman, they are the toughest negotiaters.

You've never tried to do a deal with an Arab then!

Forget Mansour and his squillions, he's just playing with his latest toy. Arabs are horse traders and will happily haggle for days just so they can get the better of you. Then, when they'be got the better of you, they'll take you out and spend 3 times what they made on presents.

Lovely people but very strange.

You're not wrong, I once haggled for two years with a Qatari company and just decided it wasn't going to happen out of the blue I got a fax from them placing the order and immediately opening negotiations on another machine.
Perhaps the difference is that Arabs enjoy the transaction and the Dutch enjoy the outcome. :)

We should forget the whole twitter ITK thing this summer. Apart from a couple of Goal. Com journos the rest of them are just bullshitters who are trying desperately to get more followers as they have no friends in real life.

"Tottenham are my favourites"

2 weeks later: "I really like how arsenal play, i could see myself there"

one month later: "Man city really interest me, I hope it will happen soon"

This may be controversial but I don't think half of our centre backs are good enough for a title challenging team. I would get rid of Bassong, Gallas and King all high earners that won't play that many games. That would leave us with Kaboul, Dawson and Caulker (maybe Vertongen and another young centre back, maybe Dunk to come in)

Ironically enough it was a Qatari company I worked for when I was involved with the haggling. Fantastic 18 months I had out there but Christ did it get hot in Summer.

Really?

That's not what this article suggests. He's mentioned alongside Silva and Martinez.

Veremos.

I think it is also important to have a balance of right and left sided players at centre back.
Kaboul Dawson and Caulker are all RCBs as far as I know and Vert would then be the only LCB.
King is a LCB but can play right and if his op is a success and he regains some mobility I think he is well worth another year.
